Regulus went outside; it was a cool, clear night. He sat down on the soft grass looking up at the bright stars against the black sky.
The Death Eaters killed so many people today, which Regulus couldn't bear to watch Voldemort plan his next move. It was so tough, to see people die a horrible death. These poor innocent people didn't deserve such a horrid fate like this.
Regulus swallowed his tears, he had to be brave. He had to be brave like Sirius always was. Tears started to flow down Regulus' scraped cheeks; he didn't want to think about his family. His family meant so much to him. Regulus still remembered the night, when he snuck back home as a Death Eater, and Sirius was there. He remembered the night so clearly, that it felt like a second ago.
Flashback
Regulus entering his dark old room, with only the moonlight seeping through the window as an only light source. Regulus came back, just for memories- happy and sad memories. As he entered the room, a teenage boy stepped away from the shadows. Regulus knew it was Sirius right away. They both stared at each other, as precious seconds ticked by full of tension.
"Why, Regulus? Why?" Sirius' was pleading. His voice was full of sorrow, Regulus never wanted to cause his older brother so much sadness.
"Don't hate me, Sirius, don't." Regulus' voice sounded so distant, so soft. Sirius looked away, avoiding Regulus' eyes. He mumbled something, which Regulus couldn't make out.
"If we ever meet again, you might have to kill me. Please Regulus, you get one life, and you have lived a good life. You been the best younger brother I can ever ask for, make the right choice." Sirius was still avoiding Regulus' eyes, but Regulus knew that would be the last conversation that they would ever have.
End Flashback
Regulus, was only sixteen or seventeen he couldn't remember any more. He dreamed of always being with Sirius and Andromeda again. Nothing seemed right, every action and decision seemed like the wrong one.
Regulus blinked up at the stars, beautiful stars that stared down at him.
"That's Sirius," he said pointing to a bright star. "That's Andromeda," Regulus started pointing at stars. He knew most of the stars and where they were located. He loved astronomy, him and all his cousins found it very interesting.
"And that's Bellatrix," Regulus missed them so much! "Hey, guys, if you ever get this message, I am really sorry for ever doing this to you. You all mean so much to me, I miss everything about you. Sirius, I will take your advice and make things right. I will bring hope to this world, and I will make the Black family proud. I will especially make you proud, Sirius. As you said, I will and always am leading a cunning life full of adventure. I love all of you!" Regulus ended.
As he looked back at the stars, Regulus smiled. His first real smile in a long time.
