Wolves As Gaeilge.

(I Do Not Own Wolf's Rain or Bears, Ireland.) (I DO OWN My OCs: Aoife, Faolan and Brona.)

Chapter 1 Fáilte! (Welcome!)

In the south of Ireland somewhere lived a group of three teenagers. They were no ordinary teenagers; they were also part of an extinct race, thought no longer to exist.

They were wolves, Irish wolves. They had adapted in order to survive extinction. They had developed the ability to change to human form so as to pass unnoticed by the human population.

Their names were Brona, Aoife and Faolan. Brona was a girl with long brown hair, dark brown eyes and wears a large black trench coat, black jeans, black shoes and brown rimmed glasses. Aoife had deep green eyes, red hair, and glasses and wears a green jacket, grey pants and a black and white bandana. Faolan was a guy who had short black hair, blue eyes and was wearing a dark navy hoodie, black pants and dark green shoes.

They were a family and lived together in the ruins of an old house. The ruin used to be a two storey house but it had collapsed when a tree fell on the house during a storm many years ago, the area had been deserted ever since.

They lived there happily and in peace for many years, only going into the small town nearby for food, concerts, sheet music to play on their instruments and to buy books to read. They loved to frolic and play in the meadows of cotton grass. They loved to listen to the birds singing in the trees. They also loved to explore the secluded tunnels through the undergrowth and hunt and stroll about in the large forest. At the end of each day they would lie down and watch the sunset over the distant green mountains and the small area of the bay they could see in one corner, which sparkled like a large diamond, in the light of the descending giant.

They were not the only supposedly extinct creatures around. There were also the Irish bears, which like the wolves could appear human and in doing so had survived the threat of extinction as well. The only problem was that the wolves and the bears were mortal enemies, they fought over food, they fought over territory, and they fought if they even just glimpsed one another.

To prevent an all-out war the bears and the wolves equally split the territory between each of their different clans and packs. The wolves got the south west and the bears got the south east. So long as they each stayed on their own land everything was fine, and there was no fighting.

But, the winter was coming and food was going to be scarce which meant it was inevitable that the bears would invade wolf territory and there would be massacres.
