It was a cold day in the Ice kingdom, as usual, but it was sunny out. The snow covered all and vast mountains surrounded the land.

In a small area stood a small igloo. A pink cat and a penguin shared the small space. The red heart shaped mark on the cat's forehead glowed brightly as he and the penguin embraced.

"Oh, my love, how I wish we would be together..." Said the cat in his beautiful voice.

"Wenk." Said the penguin as she looked into the cat's blue eyes.

"What? No, Gunty, I can't just stay. I have a duty to my people. You know there's a war with the dogs of Kapa-Noa. I'm a head general, I can't abandon my duty. Although that's what I'm doing when I am here, with you, and not out there slaying those beasts... Oh curse this war! It's getting in the way of true love!" Said the cat in great anguish and passion.

The penguin hugged him with her flippers and nuzzled against his fuzzy chest.

The cat hugged her back with his paws and nuzzled the top of her head, he purred lightly "I promise that when this ridiculous war is over I'll come back, take you from this land of ice and we can be a family, we'll be a true family, we'll even have our own child too. Forgive me, I am uneducated in these types of things, but how far along are you?" Asked the cat.

"Wenk wenk." Said the penguin.

"What, Guntur? You think it's going to come any day now?" Asked the cat.

"Wenk, wenk wenk." Replied Guntur.

"My dear, forgive me, but I doubt that foolish king of yours could be capable of taking care of himself, let alone you and our child..." Replied the cat.

Gunter broke from the embrace and turned from her mate, waddling away some.

The cat sat there on the snow, gazing sadly at his wife, had he upset his little penguin? He knew she loved her king, no matter how that wizard treated her. He stood and walked over to her "My love, forgive me, I have been rather rash. I understand that you love your ice wizard king, and I can respect that." He replied.

Gunter looked up at him "Wenk, wenk."

"That's all I wanted to hear, you're so forgiving." Replied the cat as he sat on his haunches and hugged the female penguin.

"Wenk wenk wenk wenk?" Gunter asked.

"I don't know, I just don't know. Right now it seems that this war is never ending. Oh I wish the cats of Felinus and the dogs of Kapa-Noa could stop this war and have peace... Right now it's just a full blown war." Replied the cat.

Gunter hugged him too "Wenk wenk wenk?" She asked.

"I promise I'll come back as soon as I can, ask your king if I can stay in his kingdom. I may not be used to this snow and ice, but I can cope as long as I'm with you." Said the cat.

"Wenk wenk wenk..." Gunter said softly, rubbing her head against him.

"I love you too." Said the cat, rubbing the top of her head with his cheek and purring.

Their embrace broke when they heard bellowing in the distance. Gunter recognized it all too well.

"Gunter?! Did you eat my socks again!?" Said the angry voice of the Ice king.

"Wenk wenk..." Said Gunter to her mate.

"I know, my darling. I must get going too." Replied the cat, he quickly hugged her and they shared a kiss. They broke their embrace and went outside.

Gunter watched as her husband began to glow brightly and start to float. She waved at him. He waved back and then shot up into the air and quickly vanished from sight.

"Gunter!" Bellowed the Ice king.

The little penguin sighed and waddled over towards her king's voice, she hoped this punishment will only be a time out and not the king's spray bottle known as Mr. Squirty squirt, she hated Mr. Squirty squirt...
