3rd Person Perspective

"Father! Look a Numel!" cried a tiny voice. Numel woke up from his long sleep and stretched. It seemed that everyone who saw him was a kid.

"Yes Nancy. That's a Numel. I see you've been studying," the voice of a man said, sounding very pleased indeed. Numel walked around to take a closer look. The dark clouds made everything harder to see.

Trainer children always liked seeing Pokemon like him active. With the not so tall height of 2'04', and the heavy weight of 52.9 lbs, Numel was a big Pokemon. Being big was not really an advantage for Numel since he was very dim witted. He was always oblivious to attacks, though hunger was something he couldn't stand, not for a moment.

The Trainer child had reached out to touch the Numel. Numel saw the older Trainer pull the Trainer child away. A look of fear was seen clearly on the older Trainer's face; even the drowsy Numel could see that.

"Nancy!" the Trainer cried in alarm. "Numels are dangerous! They are practically cauldrons filled with boiling magma!" A look of fear crossed the Trainer child's face. Numel turned his head from side to side. A little squirt of 2,200 degree Fahrenheit magma burst out.

"Ahhhh!" the Trainer and the child ran away as the magma burned a hole in the ground. Numel looked around, confused. 'Why did they run?' Numel thought.

As rain poured down on top if Numel, the magma cooled and hardened. Numel felt himself grow heavier, he moved around sluggishly.

Suddenly, a Mankey fell down from what seemed like nowhere to Numel. Numel swung his head around, for his puny brain could not compute what was going on.

"GO! You weakling! You are not strong enough to be in my team!" a young blue-haired Trainer shouted.

The Mankey whimpered and scurried towards its Trainer. The Trainer ignored the Pokemon and clicked a button on his red book like thing, and then he flew away on a Braviary.

Numel slowly dragged himself near the Mankey. As he came closer he saw that the Mankey probably just came out of its egg a few weeks ago. Numel stood there awkwardly as the Mankey cried.

"Hi," Numel said.

"W...who are you?" the startled Mankey whipped around.

"I'm Numel," Numel replied.

"What do you want," the Mankey hissed.

"Who?" Numel asked..

"YOU, of course!"

"Oh."

"Well?" the annoyed Mankey asked.

"Well what?" Numel asked.

"What do you what!" the Mankey spat.

"I want food," Numel said, and his stomach rumbled.

"What's that got to do with me?" the Mankey growled.

"Who are you?" Numel asked, remembering introductions.

"I'm Monkey," said the Mankey.

"You are not a Mankey?" Numel asked.

"Yes, but my name is Monkey, my trainer named me!" Monkey laughed. The Mankey was just 1'08', and compared to Numel, he was small.

"Okay," Numel replied.

"Were you ditched too?" asked Monkey, who by now was frustrated (who wouldn't be with this guy).

"No," Numel said slowly.

"What do you mean?" Monkey said scratching his head.

"No trainer," Numel answered.

"No trainer!" Monkey was perturbed. "How!"

"How what?" Numel wondered out loud.

"The Trainer said all Pokemon have to have a trainer!" frustrated Monkey cried. "He said all Pokemon were ditched or owned!"

"The Trainer lied?" Numel inquired.

"Trainers are supposed to be honest, especially to us Pokemon!" Monkey cried.

"The Trainer is different?" Numel asked.

"Definitely, my Trainer is a idiot!" Monkey protested.

"What is idiot?" Numel puzzled.

"You have a lot to learn my dear friend," Monkey laughed. Friend, that sounded like a nice word to Numel. For now that would have to do.
