Most little girls wanted to marry their fathers, their big brothers or even their brothers' friends when they grew up. But not Morgan.

When she was little, Morgan told Cory she wanted to see more of Topanga and less of Shawn. Topanga was pretty and liked to braid hair, Shawn was dumb and always raiding their kitchen (even if he was funny).

She was older now and so were they. Topanga was her brother's girlfriend now and spent even more time over at the house than Shawn did. But Topanga had changed, she'd rather kiss Cory and talk about journalism than braid hair and do pretty interpretive dances around their kitchen.

Morgan was still a child. She didn't know why her stomach felt funny and fluttery when Topanga was nearby, why she would rush over to chat with her whenever Cory left the room even for a minute, or why she sometimes wished Cory would just get locked in a closet so Topanga would talk to her all afternoon instead.

All she knew was that Topanga Lawrence was the smartest, prettiest, most incredible person she'd ever known besides her mother.

But a girl couldn't marry another girl.
