CH.1 A KittyPet should not belong

"StormStar! StormStar!" A young kit called out. The leader gazed down to him.

"Yes OliveKit?" He asked gently.

"Mama was just telling me about her dad! She said he was your dad too! Could you tell me about him?" He asked. StormStar smiled.

"As you wish...thought he wasn't my father though I really do wish...he was." He layed down on highrock, OliveKit nuzzled in his paws.

"Now...from the begining."

Back many moons ago, lived a apprentice who's story from rags to riches was something remarkable. Finding his happiness is places you'd never think.

"Grrr...Be prepared CougarStar!" A young light black apprentice growled. He was chasing a grasshopper, pretending it was a fierce RiverClan leader. He leaped on it, catching it in his paws swiftly.

"DuskPaw!" Called out a Golden tabby. He turned around letting his prey escape.

"Yes DesertStorm?" He asked.

"We're going on patrol today, hurry up." He motioned, his spooted tail flicking impatiently. Duskpaw smiled.

"Let's go!" Close by his side with one other cat, they were off.

Not so far away was a young white she cat. She pawed at her collar. She wanted freedom. Never did she feel like a pet. Sure, she was obdient. She would eat her meals and never try to harm her humans, but she didn't want them. She sighed looking out the window.

"It gets lonely here..." She murmured to herself, "I wish I got to see other cats once and a while..." As she stepped out her cat door she stretched out her claws and thought.

The went out a while ago, maybe I'll go exploring. With that she went off to her near by forest, which was dangerously close a certain place. She ran through the leafy green forest. She loved it there, sometimes she would come here whne she was bored. her owners never cared. Suddenly, she smelled something another scent, not a rabbit's, not a rat's either.

"What is it...?" She asked herself. The scent was the amber eyed tom, DuskPaw.

"DuskPaw...calm down, we can ask her to leave pea-!" Before the words got out his apprentice louged to her. The other she-cat with them yowled. "DUSKPAW!" The kittypet turned to him, he had her pinned.

"Hmph, got you now!" He bit down on her throat ruffly. She screeched and swiped at his face. She got a lucky shot, knocking him off his footing, he stumbled. As the warm blood ran down his cheek. He closed his eyes in defeat. Ashamed, he lost to a kittypet. DesertStorm and the other cat, MintBerry rushed over to him. They tried to get him up, but no luck.

DesertStorm glared to her.

"You...How could you have taken him out with one blow? You're not a warrior!" He spat rudely.

"It was nothing more than a lucky blow." The other cat sighed. The cat blinked.

"Who are you...?" He looked down at her small figure. She shed her claws.

"I'm not afraid to take you out too!" She warned. He just scoffed.

"MintBerry, take him to MorningDew...She'll give him some cobwebs to stop the bleeding." DesertStorm instructed, "At best, it'll only leave some scars..." Once she turned, DesertStorm glared to the kittypet.

"You, tell me your name." He commanded.

"What?" She asked, trembling slightly since this golden cat was intimidating.

"Your name!" He repeated.

"Annabel..." She replied quietly. He 'hmped.'

"Well...SkyStar will probably want this information, seeing as you took out a apprentice." He went to leave.

She couldn't explain it. She never heard these names, never heard of this at all, yet she felt like joining them. She could hear the yowls of victory in the night from the cats of the wild. She loved it, ever since she was a little kitten.

"Wait!" She called out.

"What is it?" He stopped, not turning to see her gaze.

"Let...let...let me join you!" She suddenly yelled out, "I want to be a wild cat!"

He looked at Annabel, he started laughing.

"You? A kittypet? A cat who has been pampered all her life, her meals handed to her, not needing to worry if you'll lose another cat every day? Sorry, but WindClan doesn't need any kittypet, who just wants a little thrill in their boring life!" He stated coldly, ready to go again.

"I DON'T WANT TO BE PAMPERED!" She boldly yowled again,

"I HATE THIS DUMB HOUSE! I HATE THIS DUMB COLLAR! I HATE BEING CAGED! NOW LET BE JOIN YOU FOX DUNG!" Annabel gasped at how she just treated him.

"Fox dung...how would you know that term?" He questioned.

"I have no idea..." She whispered, but it was more for herself than him.

"Well...You'll say that now and come running back to your twolegs in one tail flick." He scoffed.

"Now DesertStorm!" MintBerry scolded, she didn't go just yet.

"Maybe we should atleast take her to our clan, after all I was once something she was." She remebered her old days.

"She's weak!" His arguement was horrible with no evidence.

She glared. "I could pin you in 3 seconds flat when we were apprentices!" She said, playfulness in her voice, "Besides, SkyStar would love to meet her, we've been short on apprentices." DesertStorm was quiet, he couldn't argue with MintBerry. She padded over to the blonde and white she-cat.

"So, would you join us?" She smiled sweetly. Annabel grinned.

"Of course!"

That ends it for now! And remeber, you can always make your own warriors! Just follow these things
