Alix sat up, legs half crossed over each other lazily, Kim's white T-shirt dwarfing her in its wake.

"It's time for you to go to work?" It was a lazy Saturday morning, not nearly as lazy as they'd both hoped for; Saturday mornings were for burnt pancakes as they both couldn't cook all that well and fought in the kitchen anyway, were for sleepy snuggles before they tried to make a disaster of a breakfast, and were for rushing off to some place with halfway decent breakfast deals before they went to the gym together and tirelessly challenged each other at everything for several hours. Saturdays were one of the few days that they had just for each other.

"Yeah, got a call in last minute yesterday." Kim sighed, "You can go back to sleep though."

"Why would I go back to sleep when you won't be home soon?" Alix hopped out of bed though Kim's heart flipped several times in a matter of seconds seeing his T-Shirt shift around her, almost like a too short dress on her though Alix only were dresses on very special occasions. Most of their dates in the past had been in casual clothes, and Alix almost hadn't worn a wedding dress in exchange for a very casual, white ensemble. In fact when they'd got married, she'd practically rushed to get out of said dress.

Kim still felt like the luckiest man in the world however to have this woman as dorky, as athletic, and as tomboyish as she was. He could scarcely believe his luck when they'd started dating as teenagers after all.

"I don't know." Kim shrugged though felt his heart give another half thump as she stood on her tiptoes and brought her husband much closer to her and gave a kiss. Alix smiled up at Kim, a challenge in her eyes, "Hurry home."

"I'll try my best." If Kim worked twice as hard at work that day, no one would dare say anything, just to get home at nearly one and find out that his wife as lovely as she was, had gotten help to make him an early dinner.

She'd only just said bye to the girls when he'd came home, having seen cars leave the driveway with curiosity burning in his eyes. Kim was extremely lucky that a girl like Alix loved him even half as much as she did.
