This is my first ever song fic! I was listening to this song while reading a fanfic about James Norrington and thought it went pretty well. Please R/R! Thanks a ton!

James Norrington dropped the bag onto Lord Cutler Beckett's desk. "The heart of Davy Jones."
I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's home to me
And I walk alone
Just then former governor Weatherby Swann rushed in. "You said you had news of my daughter?" James felt a pang of guilt in his heart. He still somewhat regretted leaving them there. He even secretly hoped that Turner and Sparrow were ok. But he wouldn't even admit that to his self.
I walk this empty streetOn the Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one
And I walk alone
"Yes, I have news, but not good news. It seems Miss. Swann was on the Black Pearl when it was taken by the kraken." Beckett answered in an anything but sad, but maybe a bit smug, tone of voice. James' inside went dead.
My shadows' the only one that walks beside meAnd my shallow hearts' the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'Till them I walk alone
"Elizabeth….d-dead?" Swann croaked barely above a whisper. "I'd say she got what she deserved for throwing in her lot with pirates. If she hadn't died we would have eventually caught her and it would be the hang man's noose without trial." Beckett smirked. James suddenly felt his blood boil and would have run the man through if his sword hadn't been discarded from his person. He wished he had let Sparrow keep the damned heart. James knew he would be unable to serve under the power of this despicable man.
I'm walkin' down the lineThat divides me somewhere in my mind
On the borderline
Of the edge
And where I walk alone
Then more questions popped into his head. What if he had stayed and helped fight the kraken? What if he hadn't have signed on to Sparrow's crew? Would the outcome have been different? What if he had stayed and became a pirate. It seemed like a great life compared to the one he was about to get. All he could feel was deadness in his body.
Read between the linesWhat's fucked up
And everything's alright
Check my vital signs
To know I'm still alive
And I walk alone
Then a guard dragged a ghost white and weeping Swann out of Beckett's office. "Beckett you bastard!" James growled with anger. Beckett just waved his hand at James and another guard proceeded to drag him out of the office. "Oh, and Mr. Norrington. I would try to refrain from doing anything stupid if I were you. Have a nice day!" Beckett called as James was thrown into the streets of Port Royal. James then proceeded to pound on Beckett's door. "You son-of-a-bitch! How dare you say something like that about Elizabeth!" He yelled with all his might. Then the guard came out and dragged him to the cell of the fort James' knew all to well. "Lord Beckett says you could use a night in the cells. Says it might clean up yur act, mate." The guard threw his in a cell and began walking back up the stairs. " 'ave a nice night!" He chuckling before the door slammed and it was dark.

James sat there and took his anger out on the wall until his fist started to bleed. It was going to be a long night.
