A Nuna HC

Neville sat in the Room of Requirement looking at the photograph. He had looked at this photograph hundreds of times since he was small. He smiled as his mother and father waved in the photograph.

"They look happy." Neville looked up to see Luna Lovegood looking over his shoulder.

"They're my parents." He blushed. Luna smiled at him, her blue eyes shining brightly.

"They were tortured when I was a baby. Tortured into insanity." Neville explained his voice breaking. "I go to see them at St. Mungo's but they don't remember me."

Luna looked at him and smiled. "I expect they do deep down. They just haven't found themselves yet." She patted his shoulder comfortingly. They exchanged a smile as Harry called the DA to attention.

Neville sat back and sighed. That was two years ago and he still thought about it every day. He still thought about Her everyday. He would often catch himself looking at her across the Great Hall at meal times. Her beautiful blonde hair and electric blue eyes. Sitting in the Room of Requirement again he looked over at Dean and Seamus who were quietly talking. When they'd come back from holidays Neville had looked for Luna at the Ravenclaw table but she hadn't been there. Word had got around that she was missing and possibly had been killed. Neville hoped she was still alive somewhere. He looked up to see Ariana smiling at him. He got up and walked through the door. As he walked down the passage way he had a strange feeling that Luna was waiting for him. When the portrait swung open to reveal Harry, Ron and Hermione however he pushed thoughts of Luna aside.

Later as he and Ginny ran up to Harry he felt those feelings coming back.

"Neville, Ginny are you ok?" Harry asked.

"Never felt better. I feel like I could spit fire. Do either of you know where Luna is? I have a thing for her. I figure now's probably the best time to tell her since we'll probably both be dead by tomorrow." He said racing off to find her. She was in one of the classrooms helping heal the injured. He ran over and as she stood to ask if he was ok Neville kissed her. Luna was surprised but kissed back passionately before breaking apart to point out they were in the middle of a battle. After promising to find her after the battle Neville ran off to help defend the castle.

Sitting back in his recliner he smiled as the kids asked him more questions. He'd always loved Christmas holidays. He and Luna would get the house all decorated and their children would come over bringing their own children and after dinner they would sit in front of the fire and ask Grandpa Nev about his life. Nothing could be more perfect.
