FIRE AND ICE

Hi guys, this is my second fanfiction story! please reveiw :)

CHAPTER ONE: IN THE HIDEOUT (FLAIN'S POV)

Princess Flain's eyes turned fiery red and orange, mixed in with the chocolate brown color of the her grandfather's eyes. She squinted harder, and the tips of her dark brown hair turned bright scarlet.

Finally, she gave up and threw her arms in the air, saying,

"All right, all right, you win the staring contest, like you always do, Derek!"

Derek grinned. "Don't be such a poor sport princess."

"Well look who's talking," Flain retorted, throwing her sort-of-friend a look. "Remember that time in Floridan? And I told you not to call me princess."

Derek snorted.

Flain clamped a hand over Derek's mouth mid-snort.

"shh, someones coming. Hide!"

Flain scrambled behind a barrel, and Derek dived into a pile of hay.

The clomping noise passed, and she cautiously peered out from behind the barrel.

When she did, she couldn't stop from laughing, Derek had dove into a pile of hay mixed in with cow manure.

As she laughed, Derek just glared at her, which made her laugh harder.

As she finally stopped, he said grumpily, " you should probably go now, I think they heard you back in Floridan."

Flain just smiled. "alright see you later." She laughed again, "you sound like my dad in the mornings."

Then before Derek could catch her, she hopped out of the window, climbed up the stone wall, and jumped into Arendelle's palace garden.

Now most 12 year olds don't have secret hideouts anymore, but Flain was an exception.

This secret hideout was one of the two secrets she kept from her parents, and her aunt. Hearing that Flain had been secretly giving food away to an orphan without telling them wouldn't make them very happy, though they loved helping others, of course.

The other secret was that, she had powers. Yes, magic powers.

They weren't snow and ice powers, which were much more common, they were just the opposite. She had fire powers, which Flain had developed over time.

Only Derek knew about this. Flain loved her mother Anna, and her father Kristoff, but she wasn't sure what their reaction would be, after Aunt Elsa had almost lost herself through her own magic.

So it was kept a secret.
