Hey everyone, this story is my first fan fiction on here and I'm having a little trouble writing it. My apologies to anyone who had the same idea or published something like this. Sorry if it's really short, having a bit of writers block. Please review!
Chapter One
I sighed. I had no idea what to do. I was very bored, being the only person in my house right now. I couldn't go outside because it was raining. My iPod is charging so I can't listen to it. My older brother is away somewhere, Mom is grocery shopping, and Dad is at work. Nothing is on T.V right now. The only thing left to do was read, I guess. I hopped up from the window seat in my room and grabbed a book out of Jake's room. Hmm. The title was Ranger's Apprentice Book One: The ruins of Gorlan. Looked promising. I sat down and began to read.
I had finished the prologue when my cell phone beeped. I had got a text message. Taking my book with me, I picked up my phone and read the text. It said: Stop reading the book. Put it away. It's dangerous. What? Jake knew I had his book? And how is a book dangerous? I looked at the sender's name. That's weird. It said the sender was unknown. Oh well. I sat down again with my cell next to me and started to read chapter one. I was very intrigued by the end of chapter two. Beep! My phone had received another text.
The book is dangerous, Alessandra. Stop reading at once. Whoever was texting me knew my name. I was pretty sure that was a bad thing. But I kept reading, ignoring all the beeps my cell made. Before I knew it, I was halfway through the book. It was a very nice book, packed with adventure and suspense. I flipped to the cover for the author's name. John Flanagan. I'd have to read more of his books sometime (Disclaimer: I don't own Rangers Apprentice). I was moved by the book. Very satisfying read. All of a sudden I wanted to become part of the book, to get to know the characters and live their daily lives.
Beep! The phone gave a particularly loud beep. I looked at my new message. You were warned, Alessandra. Good luck. Okay, that was really scary. A bell sounded in the distance. I looked up from my phone. Bells do not ring randomly. What was going on? I snatched up the book and flipped to the page I had left off. I gasped. The page was blank. All the pages were blank. I dropped Jake's book on the ground. It snapped open to the first chapter.
All of a sudden the air became warm and breezy, like I was outside on a summer day. The book began to glow. I backed away from it slowly. The glow became really tall and bright. I could hear a bird chirping somewhere. But that's impossible. It's raining outside, and who's ever heard birds singing in the rain? I shut my eyes as the glow engulfed me and I was falling…..falling…
So what do you think so far? You will probably have to wait a bit until Chapter two arrives, so hold your horses! In the meantime, review and make me scream with joy!
From,
The Silver Spy
