I saw a little girl in Wal-Mart the other day and she was talking exictedly to her mother about the a crew of cops from around the state who came and played with them in costume and put on a show. It made me smile so I thought that I would put a twist on it.
The Argument
"No Sandburg!"
"Yes, Jim"
"Sandburg I will not do it."
"You already promised."
"No you promised. I am not going to do it."
"Don't be a baby Jim. Come out now!"
"No. Blair please don't make me do this."
"Aw come on Jim. Please for me?"
There was a soft shuffling, then the bathroom door opened. A large fuzzy toe poked followed by a furry leg then finally a timid wooly six foot two white bunny.
"You look great Jim."
"I feel ridicules."
"But the kids will love you."
"But Blair…"
"This will be great. Come on, let's go."
Blair was right as always. Jim and the kids all had a great afternoon at the St. Jude's cancer treatment center. And Jim wasn't the only one in a costume, the rest of the Major Crimes were dressed up as Alice in Wonderland characters. The day was as magical for the children as it was for the burly Cascade cops.
