Dedicated to Kelly (a.k.a – LittleRedOne). I hope you like this. Who else would talk to me at 4am anyway?
Samantha Puckett didn't like to be called Samantha. Samantha Puckett didn't like school. Samantha Puckett didn't like Miss Briggs. Samantha Puckett didn't like homework. Samantha Puckett didn't fall in love. Samantha Puckett didn't do a lot of things.
Except she did.
She didn't like being called Samantha – because it was to perfect. She didn't like school – but she liked lunch. She didn't like Miss Briggs – but she liked throwing things at her head. She didn't like homework – she liked to make up excuses as to why she hadn't done it. She didn't fall in love – except when it came to him.
Nobody could have predicted it. Not even Carly – perfect, straight A student, her best friend. Sam was her opposite. She wasn't perfect, she failed at school and she only had two friends. Carly and him. Everyone else was either scared of her or disapproved of her.
She knew he was both of those (scared and disapproving) – though he stuck with her. He frequently scolded her about everything she did. Giving Gibby wedgies, mocking his love for Carly, making Miss Briggs explode (though not actually doing so – if she had it would be on Youtube). He didn't realise it was all for him.
She knew that it wouldn't impress him – but it was what she was best at. He was too caught up with staring at Carly anyway. Some people saw it. In fact, almost everyone saw it.
The iCarly viewers noticed the way Sam always looked when Carly and Freddie had one of their 'moments'. They never mentioned it. They liked having their arms attached to their body.
Spencer watched when Sam always excused herself to go to the bathroom when Freddie and Carly accidently brushed hands. He didn't mention it because he didn't want to upset her further.
Mrs Briggs (of all people) saw how Sam clenched her fist when Carly and Freddie passed notes. She didn't mention it because talking to Sam without yelling would be like not knowing what the square root of three hundred and fifty nine was (6.24).
Gibby heard Carly giggling at something Freddie said in the corridor one Thursday. He was the victim that Sam chose to take her anger out on. He didn't mention it because he was bullied enough by her already.
Sam didn't tell Carly or Freddie. She never would. She might be a horrible, unloving, selfish bully. But she didn't want to upset her only friends. Freddie and Carly were meant to be the two smartest people in school.
Maybe they were just too caught up in each other to notice.
I'll go and sleep now Kelly, promise. (:
