Matt sighed. It was a boring afternoon indeed. Matt was finishing this new game the third or fourth time... since the morning. For a moment he wondered if his Wammy-sharp brain was getting dull because of the lack of activity.
He turned off his game, rolled on his back and closed his eyes by lying his arm over them. Nothing interesting ever happens. Beside that, ever since he left the Wammy house, all the people he met were dull and stupid. He kinda liked that Kira guy though. Now there's a guy who enjoys life. Well, he was the guy who killed L, which sucks and all, but he is still a pretty cool guy. Or gal. After a series of events he would rather forget, from the time he spent in the Wammy-house, he was not going to underestimate females. Ever.
He sighed again. Those were the days.
If it weren't for that Kira guy... gal... finally settling on "person", maybe he could still be with Mello. It was never boring with him. Actually, Mello had a talent for getting into so much trouble, most people would consider the amount impossible. Luckily for him, he was a genius.
Matt smiled as he remembered some of their fanciest deeds while in the Wammy-house. He was thinking about the Wammy-house again. Hell, when wasn't he thinking about the house?
While he was there he spent most of his time with Mello. That, probably, was a major reason for him seeing everything and everyone as dull and boring.
Matt's hand wandered around... whatever it was he lied on, in search for a drink. He came across nothing. However, getting up was out of the question, so Matt just kept lying there and thinking about what seemed now, like hid previous reincarnation. Then his cellphone rang.
Luckily, the phone was in one of the pockets of the jeans he was wearing at the time. Which was relatively close. And in a place he could locate, more or less, easily. The vibration helped too.
When he considered all those amazing coincidences, he realized he was probably destined to answer the phone, however much trouble it cost him. Moving and all.
In this state he reached for his phone, held it upside-down in the era estimated to be around his head, and clicked a button or two. The phone spoke, fully awakening him:
"Matt? This is Mello. Are you busy?".
