Hi, this is starry-lyra ;D This is one of the major stories I've been working on other than Evanescent Nostalgia and I am really looking foward to how the future of this story will develop.
I hope all of the readers can offer me your support by reviewing or assisting me with any specific turns or plotline in the story.
As mentioned before, this "Higurashi no naku koro ni - When the Cicadas Cry" is merely a prequel to the upcoming story, "Transient Spring."
Please look foward to the future of these unique characters.
Disclaimer: I DO NOT own Naruto. All characters, Settings, and partial plotline belongs to Masashi Kishimoto.
Prologue: 桜の花言葉 ~ The Hanakotoba of a Sakura
Once upon a time, there were two neighboring villages.
Both villages were very powerful, and possessed all that they wanted.
Money, Land, Weapon, Power. They had it all.
All.
Only… they could not be satisfied.
Eventually, both villages began to look toward each other for wealth, the other side seeming better off than theirs.
A huge war broke out. Thousands died in the battle. People mourned.
The war devoured all that they used to have.
Families broke apart, villagers pointed to each other, fear infested their minds.
The villages were torn apart, not a trace of their wealth left.
Placed in what was now a wasteland, both villages came to appreciate what they couldn't have before.
Love. Family. Peace.
A place to live.
With renewed realization, the villages decided to put a stop to the meaningless war.
In memory of such a laudable truce, the villages planted a beautiful Sakura tree on the border of their shared land.
The Sakura tree entertained them, was there with them.
Happy memories, sad ones, no matter what, the Sakura was always there for them.
It bloomed all year, throughout the lives of many that come and pass.
Years later, children of these villages came to forget the meaning of the Sakura.
Another war broke out.
The Sakura sadly stood watching the end of peace.
The end of men.
From then on, the Sakura bloomed even more beautiful than ever. But it only blooms in the spring, when life is brought forth. It falters, at the end of the season.
Why, you ask?
Because it was painful.
The Sakura couldn't stand to watch any more things to pass.
It decided to rid its longevity because it became too wise.
It became too painful. It was too sinful.
Too beautiful.
This is not, obviously, any form of traditional Japanese folklore so please do not feel confused over this little prologue.
;D
Thanks for reading until the end :) Please review!
