'Here we are.

Don't turn away, now.

We are the Warriors.

that build this town, from dust.' ~ Imagine Dragons, Warriors.

The branches of the tree rustle as I climb higher and higher. From high in the trees you could see all the Realms.

In the north, smoke poured out of the many factory's in the Fire Realm. Turning the sky over them as black as night.

In east was the Water Realm, the river Owasis running right through there town, supplying all the Realms with water.

South was the Air Realm, planes and helicopters flying over there heads, bringing supplies from the Realms to the Chaplain.

In the center is the Chaplain, massive the Dome towering over the rest of the city, where the Elemental Games are held.

And finally, the Nature Realm aka my home. The trees of the many forests going as high as the sky.

"Leo!" Someone calls up, making me look down from my seat on one of the many branches of the tree.

"What?" I shout back.

"Dad wants us!"

I climb down the tree, careful not to rip my new top, that dad bought specially for the Choosing.

"What's he want us for?" I ask as I got down from the last few branches.

In front of me was a 17 year old girl, her dark brown hair pulled up in to a high pony tail, her blue eyes telling you that if you mess with her, then you won't ever see the light of day again. She is my older sister, Alex.

"I think he wants to talk 'bout the Choosing," she said, tugging at the ream of her dress.

I nod, then race off towards town, jumping over tree roots and rusted machinery, from the war that caused the Realms.

"Slow down!" Alex shouts from behind me. "Its quite hard to run in a dress!"

I slow down enough so that she was able to catch up with me.

"Are you nervous 'bout the Choosing?" I ask her.

"Not really," she says, looking over at me.

"Are you?"

"A bit," I confess. "What if we both get picked?"

"Leo, you know that's not going to happen."

"Ok..."

We run as far as the forest border, keeping well away from any of the Chaplains guards.

Sneaking past any, we finally got in to town. Today everything was decorated and everyone getting ready for the Choosing, when two of us will be chosen to compete in the Element Games. Where kids from the age from 12-18 go to die. Sadly I'm 15, so there is a chance that I'll be picked.

We squeeze past people in the busy street. Making our way to the run down shack that we call home.

Dad was sitting in a rocking chair just out side our home, a smile graces his face as soon as he sees us.

"Hi dad!" I call.

"My son and daughter, my you both look great." he says, getting of the rocking chair and pulling me in to a hug.

Letting go of me, he looks at Alex with his dark blue eyes.

"If Leo gets picked," dad starts.

"I have to volunteer in his place," finishes Alex.

I say nothing, even if I did Alex would still volunteer.

The sound of bells ringing made me look towards the town center. The Choosing was about to begin.

Dad pulls me and Alex in to his tight embrace.

"No matter what happens," he whispers in to our ears. "I will always love you."

"Love you too." I whisper back, putting my head on his shoulder.

"All always and forever," Alex finishes my sentence.

We all pull back, then start walking towards town square.

We past parents and family members that are crying, nervous that there loved ones will be picked.

I take one last look at my dad and sister, then go over to the line marked 'MALE', Alex went to the one with 'FEMALE' written on it.

We all went it to lines, facing the stage that the Chaplain set up a few days ago.

On stage was a man with blond hair that went to about his shoulders.

"Welcome to the Choosing of the 99th annual Elemental Games..."

Woooohoooo! I finally finished the first chapter of the Elemental Games, I have been writing it for the past three days. Plz comment, fav and follow!
