Sebastian Michaelis gently stroked Ciel Phantomhive's hair as he slept. The past several hours had been difficult for the both, but now it was over. They had a son, Vincent Sebastian Michaelis-Phantomhive. Tucked securely into the bed next to his mother of sorts, the infant made a noise and fixed his eyes on Sebastian.
Sebastian carefully picked the baby up, cradling him and smiling. Strangely enough, the child had remained awake even after the departure of the Healer Eris. He hadn't eaten or even cried either, which worried the Demon.
"Mmm… Sebas… tian?" a sleepy Ciel murmured, sitting up and rubbing his eyes.
"Good morning, my lord."
The fourteen-year-old looked fondly but wearily. "Has he slept?"
"No, nor has he eaten… I'm beginning to worry." As if in reply, Vincent began to whimper, then started to cry. Sebastian smiled. "I do believe he was waiting for you, young lord." He passed the baby to Ciel, and went to prepare a bottle.
Ciel awkwardly balanced the crying infant. "Sebastian…!"
When the Demon returned, he also handed the bottle to his young master.
"But… Sebastian," Ciel said indignantly. "I don't know – "
"Here, like this." Sebastian guided his lover's hands, and soon enough little Vincent was nursing comfortably.
The baby fell asleep almost immediately after he'd had his fill. The new parents smiled over him
"So this is really how it's going to be from now on," Ciel said quietly, so as not to wake his sleeping son.
Smiling, Sebastian replied, "Well, he'll grow, of course, sir."
