After the end, Rinali was warm in his arms; and it was a strange contrast to her shivering.

"You're cold," Allen said softly, "I should -- "

He didn't get to finish his sentence. Rinali had twisted slightly and kissed him on the corner of his mouth. Allen's eyes widened slightly and she pulled away. He swallowed slightly and tightened his grip on her slightly so she couldn't pull away.

"Allen-kun," Rinali muttered and then twisted her body around so that they were face to face. Then she gently pushed him on the ground. "I was scared."

"I know," Allen said. And he was about to say, "I'm sorry," but she then kissed him again, this time on his mouth.

There were things he knew she wanted to say, "don't ever leave" or "don't ever die", and he would promise them to her even though he knew it was a promise he wouldn't be able to keep.

When her lips left his, and trailed down his neck, he said softly, and breathlessly, his heart beating quickly from the way she was pressed against him and because the feeling of her lips on his seemed to be imprinted in his brain, "I'm sorry."

"Just this right now," Rinali said into his neck

Allen carefully grabbed Rinali's face in both of his hands, glad this time she was the strong person he loved (he also loved the scared girl within her, but he hated seeing tears in her eyes), and pulled her down into a kiss. Her fingers, which had been pressed into the grass next it his hips were suddenly on his hips and clenching the waistband of his pants.

It was then that Allen realized it it wasn't the end, but the beginning.
