Author's Note: I do not own Once Upon A Time or its characters. Just a fan

Note: This is a little something I came up about Regina's reaction to Henry not remembering her.

After giving her tour of Storybrooke to Henry, Regina returned home to her mansion. She walked up the stairs and stood in the doorway of Henry's former room.

Nothing had changed in it since Henry was last there.

His books, clothes, toys were all where they had been left.

She took a seat on the edge of the bed thinking of the times she had cared for him when he was sick, read to him at night when he was young or took a peak in his room as he slept.

Those times were gone now.

Even before her own actions caused him to lose his memories of her she had lost him. He had made his choice, she thought, and his choice was to be with his birth mother.

She would never be a mother again.

It was that thought which brought the tears. She tried to choke back the sobs but couldn't. She found herself lying on his bed, curled up there, her face buried in his pillow.

She hadn't realized she had fallen asleep until someone touched her shoulder. She sat up to find Emma there.

"You left your door unlocked," she said.

"What are you doing here Miss Swan?" Regina said feeling immediately uncomfortable at being found like this.

"Don't Miss Swan me," she said. "I just wanted to check on you. I saw the look in your eyes when you dropped off Henry. I know this can't be easy for you."

"You don't know anything about me," she said, getting up and walking from the room. Emma was right on her heels, grabbing her and pushing her against the wall.

"Don't tell me I don't know anything about you," Emma said looking her in the eyes. "What I know about you is that you raised Henry to be a really good boy. What I know is you would do anything for him, even take away his memories to give him a life with me that I will always be grateful for. What I know is that we are all going to get through this We will. Our son will be ok because you will do anything for him. You are his mother."
