You don't see me do you?
You don't realize it's a mask,
That it's too good to be true.
You say you love me, but you love the other me,
you don't see the boy behind it,
locked in a cell that has no key.
You're content with those smiles, fake.
But that's okay, if that's what you want,
I'll do it for your sake.
All you see are my happy smiles, not my crying eyes.
And I hope it stays that way,
until my demise.
Can I stop smiling now?
That you see my true colors.
But, alas, that is not something I can allow.
So I'll continue to smile, forever more,
with my plastic grin,
until I can smile no more.
