Last Thing On Your Mind
She sat under the trees with disdain. Plip. She pulled herself close and held her knees. She was a lost soul. Alone. "I'm fine." She released her legs and laid on her back. "It's okay." The tears streamed down the side of her cheeks. Hic. She stood and looked at the sky. She reached for the heavens; her arms outstretched. "Everything is fine!" She yelled. The words she thought engulfed her. The thoughts of him. The troubles. The complications. Her vision was blurry and all she could think about was this and that and– "Why does everything keep me from moving forward!" She screamed, yelled, ranted; all until she felt normal. Empty.
