"Hurry up, you slowpoke!" Eiko shouted as she looked back for Vivi. They just arrived in Alexandria for the first time since Garnet had been named queen. The city was bustling as always. Eiko liked it here, much better than Treno. She walked, humming her special song. Eiko loved it here. This was her home. Besides, of course, her home in Madain Sari. Eiko stopped in the middle of the street, letting the crowd pass her by. "...I must be strong", she thought to herself. But, regardless of those words, silent tears still rolled down her cheeks. She stood there, weeping quietly, as Vivi finally caught up to her. Vivi didn't say anything to her at first, just letting her cry it out. He then pulled one her favorite pastries out of the bag he was holding. He politely held it out to her, hoping the smell would calm her down. Eiko's nose caught a whiff of something sweet. She sniffled and opened her eyes. Her vision was blurry from the tears, but she instantly recognized it. It was Alexandria's famous wild cherry pie. She reached out and grabbed a bit off. She then nibbled on it, the sweet cherries mixing with the saltiness of her tears. It tasted like the bittersweet memories of first love.
