He wore his intensly expensive suit, a dull navy color with gold embroidered lace. His hair was nearly pristine and yet his expression was unreadable. He was absorbed in his own thoughts as he peered over the garden of his former high school. Meio High School.

This man was, obviously, of intense wealth, fortune and fame.

And that could only mean he was a Kugyo.

Koki Kugyo.

'That garden...' he said, remorse and nostalgia in his voice. He took a deep breath and knelt before it on one knee.

"Everything blooms according to its own nature! We should all bloom too!"

Koki pressed his fingers to his scalp, overwhelmed with memories of highschool...and the one girl he loved.

He began speaking, asthough talking to someone yet there was no one present.

"I've missed you. Work has been brutal but...I'll always make time for you." He said, forcing himself to smile.

"Arisa, Ogata and Takito are doing well. Takito began walking a few months ago. It's too bad you weren't around to see."

"Flippy is still as crazy as ever, he's always scaring the little children...His little children, I should say. Saionji was getting married, last time you saw her, wasn't she?"

Koki looked up from the garden, tears in his eyes as his throat began to close on him. "And...I've been k-keeping our g-greenhouse filled with b-b-bright f-flowers j-just for...you.." He clutched his fist, trying to surpress his agony.

"Erika? She's...fine. I haven't heard from her so I guess...no news is good news? Yoji..well, He's been avidly taking pictures aswell as assisting me in running the family business."

He shoved his hand into his pocket, and pulled out a scoop. "Remember this? This is our scoop. This...this is what helped put the wheels in motion."

Koki couldn't hold back any longer. His expressionless face contorted as though it were extremely painful for him to cry. He pulled out another item from his pocket. It was his handkerchief that he had once lended to Tanpopo when she was injured. This time, though, he used it to wipe away his tears that threatened to fall.

"You haunt me. Everywhere I go, I see your illusion. I'm lost. Help me."

He was silent, the courtyard was quiet. Koki was hoping that maybe she'd heard his pleas. Unfortunately nothing happened. The cool breeze carried the scent of flowers to his nostrils. He recognized the one flower scent immediately. It was...hers. She stood out from the rest. He smiled and stood.

"You're always with me. My best friend, the first and only girl I ever loved. My...wife. I'll keep smiling, even though it hurts. I won't let your memory die." He turned and slowly walked away, leaving a single rose before a plaque which rested in the center of the garden.

Tanpopo Yamazaki Kugyo
Beloved Friend and Wife
April 30th, 1980 - December 12th 2004

Let me just say this was probably the most random fanfiction I have ever written. Not for it's spontanuity but for..how the random plotline showed up. I mean I intended to write a Imadoki fanfiction to the song "Friends Forever" by Vitamin C. Then I thought that the lyrics from "Colors" by Crossfade would work too. But then I found I didn't like the "Colors" idea so I looked at the song "Cold" by Crossfade.

I started to think that Cold would make an awesome fanfiction for reflection on Koki and how mean he was to Tanpopo. I still think that too but when I got into developing this one, it was more of a tribute to Tanpopo if she died before he did.

Review if you liked it :)

I leave you with this:

"Yes it does! I'm a Saionji. I have my social standing to consider!" --Tsukiko
"Can your money and power laugh and cry with you! Aren't friends what matter most?" -- Arisa
