Lightning struck, lighting up the sky with a talon-like hand extending from one side of the sky to the other. A young cat, with a grey tabby pelt, runs through the storm, getting soaked. He soon reaches a large cave in the side of a cliff. He dashes in there and huddles in a corner.
"Owltalon, are you alright?"
The gray tabby tom, Owltalon, looks up to see a she-cat with a blue-gray pelt look down at him, "Yes, Bluestar?"
"I need your help..." she starts, trailing off.
Owltalon gets up, "What do you need?"
"I'm deteriorating," she responds. "The clan cats have forgotten about me..."
Owltalon looks at her in dismay, "But...how?"
Bluestar starts shaking and part of her paw flakes into small glowing particles, floating into the air, "The clan cats are loosing faith in StarClan. Firestar has already been forgotten, I can't believe that's possible. I'd have expected him to last more than 6 moons after me..."
Owltalon rests his tail on Bluestar's shoulder, "It is natural for StarClan cat's to be forgotten. Remember, it has been more than 1,000 moons since Firestar's death. That's 30 generations of kits. It's a miracle that you've lasted this long."
Bluestar sighs, "I guess I just wanted to be truly immortal...but I cannot be, no cat can be."
"There will always be legends about you, Bluestar, along with your kits, Firestar and Bramblestar. But your names will always be altered, leading to you and the others to deteriorate."
As if on queue, the rest of Bluestar's leg deteriorates. "How long will it take?" asks Bluestar, "To deteriorate all the way?"
Owltalon shrugs, "Maybe a day or two. I'd prefer you don't go hunting, just talk with the rest of the elders."
"That's the problem, all of the elders are maybe 500 moons younger than me."
Owltalon suppresses a laugh, "So, you all died at about the same age, that couldn't make much of a difference."
Bluestar looks solemnly at the other cats in the back of the cave, all chatting aimlessly, "There is a difference. They never knew Firestar, or Bramblestar..."
"Well, on another note, what's with all the mousedung weather that's been going around StarClan lately?"
A tear rolls down Bluestar's muzzle, "The Dark Forest is rising again..."
Owltalon gasps, "You mean...the Dark Forest?"
Blustar nods and limps to the back of the cave, followed closely by Owltalon, "Have you noticed how many StarClan cats are missing?"
Owltalon shakes his head, "No, why?"
Bluestar closes her eyes, "Because of the disease, the Dark Forest found a way to tap into StarClan and release the disease. It's made more than half of StarClan deteriorate, turning it to just a bleak forest, almost an exact copy of the Dark Forest."
Owltalon's eyes widen, "You mean-"
"I mean, the Dark Forest is trying to turn StarClan into it..."
Owltalon falls to the ground.
Bluestar opens her mouth to speak until her tail deteriorates.
Owltalon gets up and brings her to a corner in the cave, "What do you need to tell me?"
Bluestar clenches her jaw, expressing that she's in great pain, "You need to go to the Moonpool next halfmoon, you need to talk with the medicine cats, tell them what's going to happen."
Owltalon has a puzzled look, "What's going to happen?"
Bluestar starts shaking uncontrollably, "I'm going to make the sky fall on the clans..."
