We whispered our goodbyes as we waited for the train, we stood inside each others arms, moving slowly as if we were dancing along the deserted platform.
I could hear Mulder saying 'Nothing could change the way I feel about you… Dance with me baby, dance with me in the light summer rain,' and we stepped out from under the shelter and into the soft, light rain that seemed to mirror our mood.

I remember the rain on our skin and his kisses hotter than the desert winds, waiting for the train, as I danced with my Mulder in the summer rain.

I remember laughing with him 'till we almost cried, there at the station that night, I remember looking into your eyes… and oh my Love, since that day it's been you that I dream of, oh my Love since that day- some where in my heart I've always been dancing with you in the summer rain.

It doesn't matter what I do now, it doesn't matter what I say, some where in my heart now, I'm always dancing with you in the summer rain.

I remember the rain pouring down on us as we poured our hearts out as the train pulled out. I could see Mulder waving to me as the train disappeared from sight.

That was the last time that I saw him, in the summer rain.

Now every time I see the lightning, every time I hear the thunder, every time I see and hear the rain, every time I close the window, when this all happens in the summer, it reminds me of you. You feel so close, and when the wind blows, it blows right through my heart and it tears at my soul, that reminder of how much I miss you, as I stand here in the light summer rain, breathing in the gentle scented air, wishing you were here with me… Please come home soon Mulder…
