The reunions in this place were always bittersweet. Sweet, because the newcomers got to meet long lost relatives and friends, people they had believed forever lost to them. Bitter, because they knew their passing was mourned by the family and friends they had left behind. Except, of course, for those who never let anyone get close enough to regret their passing.

"This is revolting." said the woman. "Are they always as sappy as this?"

"Sometimes it's worse." replied the man at her side. "Sometimes there's crying- oh, yes, look over there." A woman with long, red hair broke down into tears as she embraced a man with greasy black hair and a hooked nose.

"My god, is that Snape?" said the woman.

"Oh, yes. He wasn't on our side, you know. I've been watching him carefully since I got here, and he's been working for Dumbledore ever since the Potters died. You died because of him, you know."

"Well, he won't look so happy when he's under the Cruciatus curse." she spat. The man shook his head.

"You can't curse people here." he said. "Believe me, I've tried."

"What? What's the bloody point of that? We're stuck here forever, and we can't hex anyone? I'll go mad, I will." The man refrained from pointing out quite how mad she already was, partially because he would win no awards for sanity himself.

"The Dark Lord could figure it out." he muttered. "We could rule if we just had him back. But look at them. They called themselves Death Eaters. They called themselves the faithful! And now they're forgetting him, just like they did before." He glared at the happy people, as if he was trying to set fire to them with his eyes.

"You want to bring him back." said the woman, her eyes gleaming. "You think we can?"

"Of course we can. We are the true believers. We are the only ones who never denied our loyalty. We will bring him back, and he will reward us. And these sorry fools will rue the day they betrayed the Dark Lord."

The pair shared a smile that was tinged with madness, and then melted back into the shadows, unobserved. The casualties of the battle of Hogwarts did not know it yet, but though one war was over, another was soon to begin.

A/N: I think that Bellatrix and Barty Crouch Junior would get on quite well. Plus, something has to happen with all the random bits of Voldemort. As of right now, I'm not going to take this further, but I'm still contemplating it.
