Authors Note: This was a challenge by BiteMeTechie for anyone who wanted to try and write about her character Lennon's favorite movie. If you don't know what I'm talking about then you have obviously not read When Plot Bunnies Attack. In which case, go do so now, because it's a great story and this'll be a pile of gibberish without it.
She would never admit it. To anyone. She would rather die than tell anyone her secret. She remembered when she first saw it, the movie she secretly loved.
Flashback
She had been bribed by her brother into watching her niece, Jessie, on one of her days off. What could she say, Lennon was a sucker for almost anything if it meant getting the complete series of The X-Files and The Lone Gunmen on DVD.
Lennon thought it would be an easy day, not unlike the rest of her days off had been so far. Lennon expected to be able to pop a movie into the VCR and leave little Jessie to herself. Jessie however thought different.
First Jessie demanded she go to the park. So when Lennon refused, the little girl cried and screamed loud enough that Lennon's neighbors came to check on her. So Lennon took her to the park. Then she wanted an ice cream. Lennon, not wanting to cause another scene, got her as much ice cream she could eat.
After nine ice cream cones, a cart ride around the park, and three hours of swing sets and slides, Lennon finally convinced Jessie it was time to go home. So Lennon picked up some food and headed home.
Deciding to let Jessie pick one of the movies that she had brought with her, Lennon dished out the Chinese food on plates, all the while reminding herself why she was putting herself through the horror that was her niece. When she saw what movie Jessie had picked out, she had to remind herself once again about the DVD's she was going to get. She did not want to watch some horrible romantic comedy. Little did she know that the movie she thought would be her undoing would end up being one of her favorites.
Present
And that was how Lennon Fisk had found her favorite movie. And though she would never admit to anyone other than herself, after a hard days (or weeks) work, she loved to sit down and watch The Princess Bride. And as she was walking down Atlantis' halls, she smiled slightly at the memory.
A/N: This was the sixth version of the story, but this is as close to perfect as I was going to get it, so I hoped you liked it. This entire thing is almost identical to what happened to me the other day, but it's even harder with two uncooperative nephews getting in the way. Both of my next door neighbors actually came to check on me because of my niece's screaming and my nephews trying to block her out with their own yelling. I got the idea from one of BiteMeTechies stories, I'm not sure which one. To me, it doesn't sound out of character enough, because, you know, The Princess Bride is an awesome movie.
