Percy sat on the creaky old couch as he watched Paul from across the room, while Paul didn't even notice, he had his nose stuck in a News paper. Percy watched him for a moment, hoping that he would notice, but instead Paul kept intently reading. The next thing Percy did he wasn't proud of, in fact Percy hated the fact that he would do anything bad to disrespect his step father.
"PAUL!" Percy finally yelled, Paul flinched and dropped his paper.
"Wah!' Monster- where!" Percy laughed at Paul's face. When Paul realized it was just his stepson his face merged into anger.
"Sorry Paul, but I needed advice," Percy apologized. Paul nodded and laughed, the anger was gone from him.
"What do you need advice on, son" Percy turned bright red, and didn't meet Paul's kind eyes. Paul went to the old couch and smiled at his stepson. "Perce?" Percy finally muttered something under his breath. "What?" Percy mumbled something again. "What?"
"I need help on girls," Percy finally said audibly. Paul's face turned into a Cheshire grin.
"Girls huh? Well, I'm no good with girls" Percy shook his head like he disagreed with that statement.
"Of course you are, you married my mom, right?" Paul turned bright red.
"Alright, tell me what's wrong" Percy sighed, his eyes seemed to dance to a faraway land.
"Well, there these two girls I like, Rachel and Annabeth" Paul smiled remembering Annabeth, she was rather smart.
"Tell me about them," Paul probed. Percy sighed.
"Well Rachel's this laid back artsy kind of girl, she's sarcastic, sweet, and she's funny" Paul nodded, as he soaked in the new information "and then there's Annabeth, she's bossy, a know-it-all, and she thinks she can do everything better than everyone" Paul smiled kindly even though he thought this problem should be solved really easily.
"So why don't you choose Rachel, son" Percy shook his head. Paul was starting to wonder if Rachel was ugly.
"Because"
"Because what?"
"Because she's not Annabeth"
