Summary:A letter for me.
I open the only letter left on my mantelpiece and opened it to see the delicate script of my blond haired blue eyed neighbor.
Dear Katniss,
The sun kissed the horizon and the whole sky turned red as if blushing. There were streaks of black and soon the girlish blush turned to fire, a wild fire which spread rapidly across the sky only to be defeat the chaos of dusk only to give way to the peaceful darkness weaving in among the stars and the moon, covering the world in a sheet of Snowy light. However the war had just begun, the fire had died down, and it was gone but it still had a bit of fight in it, it fought, fought till the Snowy light was replaced by the magic of colours shown by the sunrise, with the beginning of a new day, a new life, a new world, a world with an era of peace and happiness.
This is how I see the fight, we fought, a fight fought for peace and happiness. I hope you will see it the same way I do and forgive yourself, because the deaths were not your fault, but you blame yourself any way. Forgive yourself and live. I return to twelve as soon Doctor A. allows.
Yours affectionately,
Peeta Mellark.
A letter written before he came back, a letter I should have read before but read too late, a letter opened in Peeta's arms after he is asleep, a letter forgotten in the years after the war, a letter seen only when I decided to clean my old house before leaving it forever, a letter which gave the hope , only a dandelion can give and that is when I knew that what Gale meant that night in the cold cellar was true, only he meant to say the one I cannot survive without will be the one I need the most, the one without whom I will never be whole, the one who will be the one to bring me out of my shell and even then he knew it was Peeta, only I didn't but now I do and when Peeta asks me
"You love me, real or not real?"
I reply in the one and only word that can be called true "Real"
