Hi, everybody! (Hi, Doctor Nick!) ... Sorry, random Simpson's quote. S'okay, though, let's get on with the story at hand! I am a firm believer that there are some things other people see that no one sees about themselves.
Disclaimer: I don't. Now leave me alone with my manga!
There wasn't anything special about him. Nothing at all. He hated this fact. Hated it with a passion that he didn't think he had. But that's the thing about attributes. A person can't see what makes them special, truly special. Oh yes, there are those who can see their strength, their intelligence, their ingenuity. But is that what truly makes them special? Maybe. But I doubt it.
He could see everyone else, the way they acted, spoke, existed. And he thought them so much better than himself. He couldn't see any of the things in himself that he always saw in others. Why is this? I think it's because a person is presented with others only for short periods of time, while they are with themselves at all times. Is the saying true that repeated exposure dulls the senses? I think so. Because he is special. Everyone else can see it. And they think him so much better than themselves.
