Edward's POV

My siblings had dragged me out for a night on the town. It was Alice and Esme's doing alone that I was still alive after I had left Bella.

We were in London, living here for three years and getting prepared to move again. It was unseasonably warm as we walked down the club lighted streets.

Down the street three teens were exiting a club, laughing loudly, but not drunkenly. Two were walking away and one was a young female, early twenties and the other a man in his late twenties, well dressed, walked away waving, hand in hand. The last one, I recognized her smell, like I could ever forget it, even if it was slightly off.

She was dressed in a midnight blue cocktail dress, that had a deep sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves, it was high-waisted and had a fitted, mid thigh length, A-line skirt. Under her arm was a blue clutch. I was spending too much time with Alice! On her feet were tall, silver heels that elevated her at least five inches. She stood in front of a limo, tucking an invisible stray hair of her lower back length chocolate locks back into it's clip.

My siblings and I stood amazed as we watched an older gentlemen, in his thirties come out of the club. His thoughts were innocent with Bella. Merely recognizing she was a beautiful girl, but he preferred his wife.

"Bella thank you again so much for coming with me and for all the help you did. If it weren't for all of your extra notes on the case I don't think we would have won." the man said as he kissed her cheek.

"You are so welcome Mr. Richards. It was an amazing learning experience for me. It was truly my pleasure to be able to work with you." Bella said sincerely. Mr. Richards shook her hand and stepped into the limo.

Bella slowly turned towards us. She gazed over us quickly and looked the same age as when we left her seven years ago. She nodded to us, in recognition, before turning opposite and walking down the street.

We all ran to catch up to her. Alice grabbed her shoulder. "Bella wait."

She turned and straightened her posture. "Can I help you?" she asked.

"Well look at you. How did you pull this off?" Rose asked snarkily.

Bella rolled her eyes and stepped closer to Rose. "Smell me. I'm just like you. Victoria found me just after I had gotten the news that Renee and Phil died. Charlie died of cancer just days after my high school graduation. The news about Renee and Phil came about a year ago. So now just like you, I have no parents, even though you guys have Carlisle and Esme. I have no hope of growing up and living in one place for my entire life. So Rose just can it and get over yourself." Bella stepped back. "Was there any other unfinished business we had or may I go on living my miserable life, because I have a flight to Milan in four hours."

"What happened to you Bella?" Alice asked quietly.

"My life ended. I was shut out by my friends and my family is gone. I'm on my own. Depression tends to get to a person." Bella sighed. It was silent for a few minutes before Bella walked away. "Well I'm sure we'll meet again someday." Bella turned and started to walk away. We followed, being silent.

Bella walked into an alley and called over her shoulder, "I can hear you," before disappearing. She was there one minute and the next she was gone.

"Bella said she had a flight to Milan. We just go to Milan. The private jet should get us there faster." Alice said as we all started back to our house.

Rose was sulking as we walked home quickly. That girl ruined our night out. Edward was just getting back to normal. Why'd she have to show up anyway.

I brushed off her complaining. I wanted my love back.
