She couldn't stop laughing. She knew it was wrong, and that she should somehow go and rescue him, but he did bring this on himself.

She looked again over to the bar to see Fraser getting hit on by a different man this time. Margaret had to cover her mouth to stop her laughter from bubbling over. Only Benton Fraser would think it appropriate to ask her out for a drink after he marched in a Gay Pride Parade. The guy that was flirting with Fraser must have finally gotten the hint that he either wasn't gay, or was already here with someone and left him alone.

He tilted his head looking at her, "Is there something wrong with my attire?" he asked at her amused expression.

"No, Benton. Nothing, you look fine. I was just wondering if you gave those guys the number to the consulate? Or dating advice?"

He chuckled, "Ah, I see."

"So, do you often go marching in parades or was this one special?" she asked with a smile on her lips.

"I thought it was appropriate to .. and you're mocking me," he said.

"Only a little," she replied.

He smiled slightly, not quite able to look at her, "I'm glad you came," he said softly.

"What?" she asked, not being able to hear over the crowd.

"I said, 'I'm glad you came'," he said again this time a little louder.

"Me too, between work, and well you causing more work, I don't usually have much free time to do things like this." she said gesturing to the table.

He smiled a little self-deprecatingly at that, "I'm..a.. sorry about that."

"No, no, I didn't mean it that way.." she said, mad at herself. "That's another reason I don't go on many dates, I always seem to put my foot in my mouth."

Fraser beamed then, glad that she thought it a date, just as much as he did. "Date?" he asked with a smile stretching his lips.

Margaret bit her lip, before looking away. "I'm just gonna get another drink," she said standing up, embarrassed.

He grabbed her hand before she could go too far, only to say once again, "I'm glad you came," giving her hand a small squeeze before letting her go to get her drink.
