Eternal?

Under the dome of light, a battle rages, eternal in it's glory, power and significance. The stream of light passes between the wands, climaxing in a sphere towards the centre. Towards one side of the bubble, stands a boy, of merely seventeen. Towards the other, stands a man of over 45. And yet neither is stronger, or weaker than the other. They are the Yin and Yang of the magical world.

Nothing can escape the bubble, powered by the polar opposite forces striking from each wand. But then nothing can enter the bubble either. In the middle of Diagon Ally, the bubble stands, incandescent light, indestructible, tendrils of energy, combining to keep the outside world just that, outside.

It has been three years now since the battle that came to an end with the dome. It has been 2 years since there was any change in the position of the sphere. A year of wavering in which ministry officials stood watch in the hope that the struggle would end, one way or the other. But eventually their vigil proved fruitless as the sphere remained in the centre, never wavering in the slightest, the only sign of life from within the sparks and jets of light flying out from the energy wave.

A month after the apparent end to the struggle, the auras left, stretched too thin with their dwindling numbers to keep watch over an obviously hopeless struggle. The others never stopped returning though, every day at first, and then once or twice a week, the red haired boy and bushy hair girl would stand by the dome.

During the night, after a particularly foggy day in Diagon Ally, no one about, no one to witness a particularly violent spark. Followed by an unusually bright explosion of light. No one to witness, the incredibly slow creeping of the sphere towards one end of the stream. It was time. The dome was about the collapse and decide the fate of the magical world forever.

AN: Please Review, I'm not too sure about this one, i think it still needs something. I might continue it but i doubt it.
