AN: Welcome to the Quibbler, newspaper of newspapers, tabloid of tabloids. Where better to create a nesting ground for some of the more insane theories of the fans of the Harry Potter series (or just the authors of this fanfic themselves)? Stories will be presented in a newspaper format, complete with such things as the date they were published on in the potter verse and totally fake pen names for each article. Short and sweet, these little things may be posted just occasionally, but should be fun and easy to read at any rate.

James Potter is quickly growing quite famous for his involvement in the quest for the defeat of Voldemort. Without any help he has turned in five important death eaters to the ministry. In addition to that he is practically the poster boy of the fight for the light, complete with a muggleborn wife and the equally famous Sirius Black, defiant child of the pure-blood activist family by the same last name. As often as not the papers fail to go into more detail on Lily past mentioning her muggle parents.

It is only natural, upon taking all of this into account, that every single newspaper less brave than our own would forget to ask the one truly important question: Is Lily Potter, formerly known as Lily Evans, a death eater?

Although the answer to the above question may seem obvious, as she couldn't possibly be a death eater with a husband like that, there is some evidence to the contrary. Lucius Malfoy, a rising star at the ministry, at first looked uninterested at an interview with us at the Quibbler, but consented once we posed the question of Lily potential secret identity as a death eater, he decided he would grace us with an interview. "Lily Potter could easily be a death eater," he said, "she has all of the good alibis to make people believe that she isn't, and though she seems innocent most of the time, I once overheard her in a loud argument with James Potter over the rights of muggleborns within the wizarding community." Lucius laughed at his own sense of irony and added. "And we all know where James stands on the issue, so Lily must have taken the, erm, opposite view."

The anagram expert at the Quibbler noted that Lily's maiden name is an anagram of "an live sly" and Lily Potter is an anagram of "lie plot try." Together these strongly suggested that Lily may actually be a spy for He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, lying while she slyly plots against her husband and his associates.

After our interview with Lucius Malfoy we receive anonymous support of this theory. One of the most interesting pieces of evidence pointed out that Lily's identity as a muggleborn could be simply a rouge not bring shame to her squib sister. Whereas another alerted us that You Know Who had expressed interest in Lily's skill at potions and charms.

This reporter has examined all the evidence both in favor and against Lily Potter being a death eater, and has concluded to her own confidence, if not that of the aurors, that Lily Potter is in fact a death eater spy.
