Yup. Nothing like earning my pay by selling overpriced items to trainers. I pity them. No skin of my back though. It's not like I make these price tags, hehe. I'm but a humble store employee trying to make a living.

"You gotta be kidding me! Damn it!" Huh. Seems to be a commotion happening in front of the store. Sounds like some whiny kid whose balls haven't dropped yet. Maybe his parents didn't buy him some ice cream or he figured out that he wasn't the very best no one ever was. Kids are so annoying.

"Cal, can you deal with the noise outside? I'd rather not have a scene happening right now. Nobody likes that." I mentally sighed. I don't think it's part of my job to deal with spoiled brats but my boss asked nicely. I proceeded to walk around the counter towards the door and called over my shoulder.

"Sure, Brandon. Do I get hazard pay? This kinda stuff like this is pretty dangerous, ya know!" He let out a laugh.

"You can have my gratitude and the sound of peace and quiet. Other than that, no."

"Yeah, yeah. I'm on it." The doors slid open with a whoosh. I only walked a few more steps and I heard more bitching to my right.

"Ahhggh! I wanted an Umbreon! Not some gay pink pokemon! Tch. What a waste of my time. Stupid pokemon. Why didn't you stop evolving?!" I couldn't help but frown at the spectacle. The kid appeared to be yelling at some pink puppy-cat thing with bright blue eyes. What? I'm no pokemon trainer with a magical pokedex. The boy didn't stop screaming angrily at the pokemon.

"Useless. So freakin' useless!" Time to get this over with.

"Hey, kid. You're disturbing the peace with your temper tantrums. If you're not here to get anything, I gotta ask you to leave…" He turned away from the poor pokemon towards me.

"Yeah, whatever. I was about done anyway." He began walking away from the store. Pinky over there started to follow him as well. The kid noticed that and turned around again. Holy hell did he looked pissed.

"Didn't you get the message or are you too stupid to understand?! GET LOST! I don't need you anymore! Got it?! So quit following me!" The pokemon froze in place and sat on its haunches. Its eyes started to well up. It was...crying.

"That's enough, kid. I'm calling the cops if you keep yelling."

"I said I was LEAVING." With that he continued on his way. I shrugged and I couldn't help but muttered under my breath.

"That kid has got some serious anger issues…" I turned on my heels and begun to walk back inside but stopped. It occurred to me that the pokemon he left was still there. Weird. Don't the pokemon that trainers leave, like umm, wander into the nearest forest or something? I stared at the pokemon for a moment. It just sat there. I could still see tears rolling off its face. Poor thing.

"You done with that person yet, Cal?!" Oh, right. I'm still on the job. Whoops.

"Yeah, just give me a minute." My gaze went back to the pokemon and I found it staring at me. It looked so...sad. I couldn't help but feel really bad for it. I mean, what kind of person tells a pokemon off like that? Especially when it's yours or something. Trainers these days.

"Cal?" I heard my boss call for me again.

"Sorry, coming in right now." I opened the door and took one last look at the pokemon and walked inside.
