"You love her, don't you?"

Beast Boy turned around slowly to face the monotone voice. Raven. For the last hour he had just been sitting there, watching the stone in which Terra was incased. He had barely moved, or breathed, he just sat there, icily.

"You don't know ... what you're talking about," said Beast Boy.

"I know everythingthat I'mtalking about," Raven said, expressing some anger, but quickly redeeming herself to her usual monotone.

"I can't ... she tried to kill us."

"But you loved her even then ... you deserve better than that," said Raven.

Was that a compliment? Maybe? Beast Boy looked astonished.

"Don't look so smug, when I said better, I didn't mean 'drop dead goregous' better."

Well, ithad beena compliment. Now it wasn't. Beast Boy stared at the cracked ground. He had thought he had loved Terra ... but how can you love a stone? She was gone. Beast Boy frowned solmenly.

"Get over it!" snarled Raven.

"You didn't even give her a chance!" Beast Boy exclaimed.

Beast Boy was confused that Raven was showing so much emotion, she usually tried to keep herself in control. The fact that she wasn't ... befuddled him.

"Didn't give her a chance? She drowned me because I gave her a chance. You would rather see me die then have her love you?"

Beast Boy felt his eyes cloud up. Guys don't cry, he told himself. "I don't want to see you die!" he said desperately.

"No, but that's right, she didn't love you, either! She tried to kill you too!"

Beast Boy fell onto the ground his face in his hands. At first Raven could hear nothing, but then she began to hear the sound of muffled sobs.

He was ... crying. Raven would want to tell you that she thought something along the lines of, 'How pathetic ... crying over a murderer,' but she really felt immense guilt. At first she just stood, watching, her eyes filled with worry and sadness, but then she slowly slipped the hood off her head and walked over towards Beast Boy.

Beast Boy felt a hand around his shoulder. He faced Raven, who was staring at the ground looking ... guilty?

"I'm sorry ..." she whispered, as if she too was trying to hold back tears.

Beast Boy looked at Raven and realized this is who he had loved all along. That was that feeling of butterflies in his stomach, or the way he was so sad after they had fight. The way he liked to see her smile.

"What?" she asked, when she had finally reclaimed her montone, once again.

"I ... I ... I don't love Terra." said Beast Boy, staring at the ground.

For a few moments there was silence. Raven's eyes were huge as she took in this information.

"You ... dont?" she said, slowly.

"No ... I don't," said Beast Boy, "but I do love ... someone."

Raven realy didn't want to act interested, she wanted to pretend she didn't care ... she wanted to pretend she didn't desperately hope that someone was her, but as much as she wanted to pretend ... she couldn't.

"Who is it?" she asked, trying to rid any emotion from her voice.

"It's ... well ... I ... you."

"It's me?" Raven said, hoping.

Beast Boy answered with a gentle kiss. Their lips were barely touching, as if they were afraid to break each other's lips. They broke apart and Beast Boy looked at Raven lovingly.

And then Raven smiled.
