I love you, but now you're gone.
She was my life. My only true love.
But now she's gone.
Please, come back, my love.
My name is Gary Oak. The great professor Oaks grandson. In school, many girls used to love me. But I didn't care about those fangirls. The only girl I cared about, was her. Leaf Green. My only true love. We used to be rivals. Then we became friends. I always tried to flirt with her. But she never cared about my pickup lines. She used to hang around with her group of friends, and I used to be with mine. Nile always told me that one day she would fall for me. That baka. But he was right.
I confessed to her on the last day of summer, on my second year in high school. I was so surprised when she said yes. We were happy. My friends were happy for me. On our first anniversary, I got her a diamond necklace. She was so happy.
But everything didn't go perfectly. One day, one of my fangirls decided to kiss me. I thought that she didn't see me, but her best friend told her. I tried to explain to her, but she just cried.
Every day, I sent her letters and gifts, but she just threw the letters away. I tried to talk to her, but she just walked away. I explained to her friends, and they promised to try and help. Well, almost everyone. Her best friend Andromeda tried to kill me. And I understand why. After all, I hurt her. My dear little Leafy.
One year later, she finally talked to me. I still couldn't move on.
I apologized, and explained to her. And she finally listened. She gave me a second chance. I was so happy.
Summer came, and we had time to be together. My grandpa accepted her. But her parents didn't accept me. They yelled at her, and told me that I couldn't date their daughter. But we didn't care. We just laughed.
Andromeda told me that if I hurt Leaf ever again, she wouldn't hesitate to kill me.
Leaf was so happy. She always smiled.
On her 18:th birthday, I got her something she always wanted. A little puppy. She was so happy, she started to cry. I hugged her.
It was valentine's day. I asked her out on a date. We were at a restaurant. She was eating. Suddenly, I got on one knee, and told her how important she was to me, how I loved her so much, and then I asked her. "marry me" I asked her. She started to cry. "Yes" she whispered.
But then, one day, she got in to a car accident. I sat there, next to her bed, just waiting for her to wake up. But she didn't. One day, her doctor came into her room, and told me bad news. "If she wakes up, she won't be able to move. And there is only a 30 percent chance that she will wake up" the doctor said.
I remember myself crying, begging her to wake up.
Then, that horrible day came. The day when she left me. I remember her waking up. I thought that she would survive. But then she said, with a quiet and painful voice goodbye to me. "Goodbye, Gary, p-please, don't be sad" she said. But how could I not be sad. My lover was leaving me.
Then, she left me. And this time, I couldn't do anything.
Now I, Gary Oak, stand in front of her grave, some years later. I never married anyone else. I place a bouquet of roses on the grave. "I promise, I'll always love you dear" and then I walk away.
We'll meet again, Leaf Oak.
So, what did you think. This obviously was a oldrivalshipping story. If you didn't understand, this was Gary and Leaf's love story. But then Leaf died.
If you were wondering, who are Nile and Andromeda, they are my Ocs.
Please tell me how I could improve on writing. Any criticism is okay.
