Disclaimer: I, Fiction 101, do not own the TV series Twisted or the characters within it. I also claim no ownership rights to Lana Del Rey's song Serial Killer.
A/N: I wrote this with the intention of posting it under my other Twisted fanfic, There Used To Be Five, but it didn't really work with the format that I have going there so I decided instead of scrapping it to create a new mini series. This will still delve into the minds of characters through the use of lists it's just the layout won't be as restricted.
Summary: There's something about Danny. A trilogy of minis with a common theme: Why the ladies of Green Grove fall for Mr. Danny Desai.
WHY DESAI?
Victim I: Regina Crane
So I murder love in the night,
Watching them fall one by one they fight,
Do you think you'll,
Love me too?
One:
I'm a sucker for any guy that has the three H's; great hair, strong hands and hot...everything. Socio definitely fits the bill; luscious locks, big hands and a killer body. Then there are those eyes—don't even get me started on those eyes: brown, mysterious and menacing with just the right amount of kicked puppy. A girl could get lost in those eyes, never to be seen again. Those eyes and his looks make for one deadly combination. He'd be the perfect addition to my growing collection of boy-toys, my Psycho-Socio boy-toy.
Two:
How scandalous. How shocking. How uncouth. We'd be the talk of the town, the Socio and I. They'd say that Regina Crane was either stupid or brave. Sexually liberated or a total slut. A martyr or completely oblivious. Honestly, I don't care what people say about me as long as they're saying something. My name should always be on the tip of someone's tongue.
Three:
It's not the fact that he looked at Lacey first—I know, I know he was her former playmate so they have history— but it's the way he looked at her. Like she was the only one in the room, the only one that mattered. Like he didn't see me at all. Like I didn't even count. It's always been Regina Crane and Lacey Porter not Lacey Porter and Regina Crane. I don't do second best, I'm the star in this friendship production not some supporting character. I am nothing, if not a leading lady and if bedding Socio is the only way to teach him that little lesson then so be it.
Four:
This is something they'd have to notice. My parents would freak. My mom would literally die. The thought of her only daughter canoodling with a known killer... I can hear her now, "Regina, must you be so tawdry? What would your father think?" And Dad would have to take a few precious moments away from shiny, new wife number two to pay attention to the 'damaged' child he left behind. I would finally get to see what it's like to have their attention for more than five seconds. What it's like to be seen by my parents. What it's like for them to give a damn.
Five:
I have never been afraid of the things that go bump in the night and I have never been one for playing it safe. In fact, if my middle name wasn't Elizabeth, I swear, it would be "Danger". Regina Danger Crane; risk taker extraordinaire. I mean, seriously, you only live once, right? What's life about if not taking a couple of risks?
A/N: So that was the first installment of Why Desai? Let me know your thoughts on Regina's reasons for wanting Danny.
Personally, I've always thought of Regina as a cross between Regina George of Mean Girls and Katherine Pierce from The Vampire Diaries; an It Girl with an edge, so I felt Lana Del Rey's, Serial Killer worked well for her chapter. It's unconventionally seductive in a kind of eerie way.
Thanks for reading!
