Disclaimer: Miss Author does not own PJO/HoO because if she did, House of Hades (or really any book that hasn't come out yet) would never come out because I am so bad at updating my stories and stuff. :(
That's right people, I am still alive! Most of you were probably wondering if I died, that is if you still bother to remember me, and I am here personally to tell you that I bring a poem to you with my sincerest apologies.
Enjoy and review! :)

Campfire
.
Orange and red
Through the fire spread,
Tongues of flame
Fought a fiery game,
Flickering light
Blazed through the night
Parading about
Its magnificent might.
.
Fire'd been lit,
Yet the flame showed no grit,
Excitement present,
Though not entirely pleasant.
From her unfortunate mood,
Confusion brewed,
A frown pierced her face,
Doubt began to intrude.
.
Disarray, as you'd guessed
But through the mess,
She glanced his way
As the music swayed,
Grey eyes aglow
With a desire to know
What he was thinking,
The thoughts of her beau.
.
She caught his eye
Sea green and spry,
He smiled, she grinned
Something stirred, something within.
The fire rose in hue,
And the blistering heat grew,
And in that moment,
She suddenly knew.
.
It was obvious enough,
That though he was tough,
A soft heart lay inside,
Bursting with love he couldn't hide.
They'd spent years as friends,
With fear the world may end,
But their love prevailed,
And has inspired this tale.
