Dear Moon,

Why does something as beautiful and enchanting like you, bring me such a sense of foreboding? Ever since I could remember you've been what I feared the most. Being a werewolf is never easy, even though I am a wizard and live near other wizards my age; none of them ever come near me because of my condition. Mother and Father have done everything to cure me of my lycanthropy; I've been to many countries as close as Wales and as far away as Romania. And all because of you. My parents even worry about my education; they say that I can't go to Hogwarts even though I received my letter last week on my birthday. They even sent the headmaster a note explaining why I won't be attending. That small sliver of hope that came on my birthday was crushed because of what will happen in a few days when you are full. Just because I'm dangerous, doesn't mean I'll hurt anyone.

Unfortunately yours,

Remus Lupin.
