THIS IS THE PROLOGUE. IT IS MEANT TO BE SHORT. THE OTHER CHAPTERS WILL BE MUCH LONGER.
Also, if you happen to stumble upon a 1D fic on Wattpad identical to this, well, that's mine. :) I just wanted to also make it Percabeth, because I feel more comfortable writing Percy and Annabeth.
Summary: Percy knows he is in love with Louis; there is no reason to deny it to himself anymore. A simple confession from Percy could easily put them on the path to a successful relationship, but when faced with his own insecurities, Percy begins to break, and only Annabeth can truly put the pieces back together.
Disclaimer: I don't own PJO.
Please R and R.
THE REST OF THE CHAPTERS WILL BE LONGER.
It wasn't supposed to be like this. His emotions weren't supposed to get the better of him. Ever. He was supposed to be the Hero of Olympus, the one that had a lot of friends, and could win anyone' hearts with just a flip of his hair. Percy Jackson was supposed to be happy, but he wasn't.
There were days when he was really truly happy, but sometimes, he just felt like he needed to quit and ignore society. Sitting outside the door of the boys' apartment complex, Percy heaved a sigh, hoping that no one would find him. Of course, he would be wrong.
"Perce, Percy, are you alright?" His best friend, Annabeth, asked emerging from the door.
Percy tried to fake a grin, but it only came out as a frown, "Of course, I am, Annie, Why wouldn't I be?"
Annabeth sighed sighting next to Percy, "You've been crying," she bluntly states.
Percy wanted to deny it, but knows he can't, "Good observation."
Annabeth put an arm around her best friend's shoulders, "Perce, you know you can tell me what's wrong. You can trust me."
Percy looked away. He did know out of all the people he could trust, Annabeth would be number one, but there was the exact problem. He didn't really trust anyone. He never really had. Part of him always thought people were looking at the negatives aspects of his life, and not the positive ones, being thrusted into fame, in the demigod world, surely didn't help that. Everyone expected so much of him. He felt the exceptions of them weighing him down and just one small mistake would be the end of him. Whenever the gods or someone else got mad at him, it confirmed all his fears. The weight on his shoulders just grew.
Annabeth looked at Percy, I mean, really looked at him. She had never seen his best friend, or whatever they were at this point, like this. Percy's normally vibrant ocean blue eyes were tainted to a grayish green tint, not to mention, there were bags under them. His lips were in a non-moving frown, and his whole posture just seemed slumped.
"Percy, please, you can trust me," Annabeth felt so desperate, seeing Percy so broken, she couldn't even find himself trying to lighten the mood with a joke, all she could think of was the shattered state Percy was in.
And just how it ended up like this
