The sun is rising on a field

A farmer awakens to the chickens

The farmer went to the barn and kneeled

At the grave of his love

He took the potatoes and peeled

And he ate his lunch at the grave

Remembering his happiness with her

And he ate

The animals waited crying out for food

He fed them extra food

He sat and talked all day

When the sun waved good bye he had to go

The moon waved hello on the bright horizon

And the animals waved him goodbye

And he marched off, into his home

He laid in his empty bed, and waited for tonight

His wife would come see him again.

Late that night in the cold of the room

The woman he had loved so long ago, came waltzing through the door.
