Sirius's Prayer
Sirius, who art in heaven,
Hath sent to us a gift,
From dear old doggy Padfoot,
Whose shaggy paws were swift.
This message that I speak of,
For be it true and right,
Reveals a touching message,
Explains he with delight.
"So first to dear old Moony,
A good, devoted chum,
I'll see you when you get here,
So don't you feel too glum.
And now to my young Harry,
Your father's looking swell,
And Lily sends her love to you,
And hope's you're keeping well.
To Dumbledore, my savior,
Don't blame yourself my friend,
As we all know the proverb,
That all good things must end.
And now to Severus, I bid,
A trusting, bold adieu,
For you may be a Slytherin,
But I know you're spirit's true.
So keep up all the work guys,
Everyone included,
And don't go in my closet, Ron,
That place is best eluded!"
As Padfoot makes his journey,
To the never-ending light,
He says "Don't miss me too much,
When you go to sleep at night.
For I feel quite delighted,
That the future's looking bright!"
