Pashiftor Konursu a K/s fanfiction.
Captain's log star date 1232.6 A Vulcan ambassador, a Miss. T'Nemuyau will be picked up by the Enterprise at the Vulcan lunar colony to be brought to peace talks between the Klingons and Vulcans. Being as she speaks little English Mr. Spock will beam down with me to translate for me when I pick her up.
" Dif-tor heh smusma. " said Spock raising his fingers into the Vulcan salute.
"Sochya eh dif" Said a Vulcan woman inclining her head slightly and doing the same.
"I be Spock. Your presence on our ship is a blessing" Said Spock to the Vulcan woman in Vulcan.
"I be T'Nemuyau. Be it an honor to meet you." She replied in Vulcan. The woman pulled her rainbow coloured shawl closer to her body and by doing such she reviled her face which had been covered by the shawl. She was far younger than most Vulcan diplomats (28 at most), after all age was valued amongst his people, meaning few under the age of 70 were able to gain power.
"How did you get your position at a young age as yours is?" he asked as he stared at Jim who was opening communicator.
"My father had...dragged me to many conferences of his so since he could not attend this conference I was to go in his place ."
she said looking toward Kirk (who was still talking to Scotty on his communicator) and then looking back at Spock.
"You two be Thyla." she stated finally making complete eye contact with Spock.
"No. We be not." Said Spock looking at Jim quite relived they were speaking Vulcan instead of English.
"It be not a question. You be Thyla."
The three changed into gold dust and reformed in the transporter room of the Enterprise.
Spock picked back up the conversation they had been having on the lunar colony's waiting room.
"There is a word in the Terran language of Yiddish that fits you to a tee I believe, The word be Yenta . A gossipy woman or a match maker."
"That can not fit me. I be Vulcan not Terran. They be old. I be young. And finally Yentas tend to be incorrect. I be always correct." The conversation was dropped. T' Nemuyau was showed to her temporary quarters and the next day she left the Enterprise and attended the conference. But for weeks her statement clawed at Spock's mind. Finally it was chased out when he and Jim kissed for the first time. She may have been right. Finally not being able to bear the suspense of how she knew they were a match he looked up her genealogy, and that she was from a lineage of pashif-tor ko-nursu, or match maidens. (Ones who paired off couples for bonding.) He also found out that none of the couples named by her family had ever divorced. And so it was with he and Jim.
