DISCLAIMER: I do not own Inuyasha.

Kagome huddled up next to the campfire, it was getting colder then usual. She looked at Sango and Miroku, who were slightly cuddled up under a blanket Kagome lent them. Sango smiled shyly at Miroku, who in return gave her ass a good rubbing.

"Kagome," Shippo asked. "What's your worst fear?"

The dark haired miko thought for a moment, not sure to give out her real fear; the one that included Inuyasha joining Kikyou in hell. "Failing school." She shuddered. "Just thinking about Summer School gives me the creeps."

Shippo didn't know what Summer School was, but he nodded his head in approval and asked the perverted monk with the hand print across his face. He laughed nervously under Sango's watchful glare.

"Getting sucked up into my own wind tunnel... Before having a lovely madien bare my children." He whispered the last part with a snicker.

"What about you, Shippo?" Kagome asked.

The fox kitsune blushed and looked away. "One of you guys getting hurt or killed."

"Awe, Shippo. Don't worry about that kinda stuff. Nothing will happen to us." Kagome said cuddling the demon child in her arms. He smiled back at her.

"Sango?" Miroku asked mischeviously, edging closer to the demon slayer.

"Kohaku..." Sango said quietly. The others knew at once without her having to finish.

"Hey, what about you, Inuyasha." Kagome asked wonderously.

The Hanyou stood up from his resting place, hands tucked inside the sleeves of his kimono. The fire flickered against his face as he twitched his ear and muttered something about feelings being a human trait.

"Well your half human." Sango offered.

Inuyasha looked away, unable to say what he was really thinking; what he really wanted to say. If he did tell the others that Kagome being caught in Naraku's trap or put in any kind of danger that ended in her death would be enough to send him off the edge they would cast him out as deep, and emotional. Like he, master of the great tetsusiaga was emotional or deep! Feh!

Kagome watched him curiously, wondering it was Kikyou rejoining the after life that was his biggest fear. She knew he still had feelings for the dead miko, and although it broke her to accept it she did. She thought about how scared he looked when she was in danger, and wondered if that was at least one of his fears.

What is his worst fear.. She wondered as she watched him dig through her bag in a desparate attempt. "What are you doing, Inuyasha?" She asked confussed, still thinking if his worst fear had anything to do with her.

Inuyasha looked up slowly with a horrified expression. His mouth quivered and his ears drooped. He looked strangley terrified and childlike. It was almost enough to send Kagome over to comfort him in whatever he was upset about until he spoke.

"The ninja food... It's gone..."

A sweat drop appeared on Kagome's face as her mouth twitched and eyes narrowed. So that's his worst fear, typical.
