Italy sometimes felt lonely when it was quiet in the house. Usually, Austria would play his piano, or compose music with other instruments and the house would be filled with wonderful melodies. However, on rare occasions, Austria could be cold and disconnected from Hungary and Italy and the house would feel dark, gloomy, and gray.

Hungary was able to bring cheer into any situation and always made Italy smile despite his mood and couldn't help but feel the strong bond they shared.

Italy himself would bring laughter to both Austria and Hungary and would think of his behavior as comical and light-hearted, the true representation of his nation, they supposed.

Nonetheless, he would find himself thinking about Grandpa Rome and Romano and missed them terribly, sometimes getting depressed over not being able to see them. He never really had the chance to interact with his brother, but he wished to meet with him in the future. Maybe they would get along well and end up poking each other to joke around. He could only wish for a chance like that, though.

So when his loneliness drove him to become more affectionate to Hungary, she did not expect his behavior and found it sweet when he suddenly hugged her with his tiny arms. He was still very short and child-like, and Hungary seemed to understand that he was a boy with need of love and care. So she made sure to hug back and carried him so he could see she paid attention.

Austria found them in the garden, talking and giggling, and joined them by bringing them a snack he had prepared. They were not related, and didn't share similar characteristics, but they were the closest thing to a family they had.

A/N: Okay, so I was thinking about Chibitalia and how he would have dealt with a situation dealing with family, seeing as he didn't really have one, so I thought it was rather sad growing up without a real family and living with other people that took him to live by force in their house. But I saw these three as the father, the mother, and the child somehow. R/R, please! Support is love!
