A/N: Thanks for taking a look at my fic! This is a prologue so it's quite short, and it is intended to convey to you my ideas for a possible fanfic. So please read and tell me what you think. Please do read the next section containing the summary/pre-prologue and key term, it's meant to be part of the story, Thank you.
Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha.
Summary/pre-prologue (DO read this, it does explain some complications): Kikyo was an abandoned orphan girl who was picked up by Lady Chyome, the kunoichi trainer of the human kingdom of Tokugawa. She was trained to be a kunoichi, and ultimately, an assasin. Givena new task of getting rid of the an opposing kingdom's Lord, the demon Sesshomaru, she embarks on a journey into the unknown horizons.
I thought I'd also explain this term:
Kunoichi- a female ninja. During the Sengoku Jidai (Warring States) Period, they are trained to be the ultimate weapons of war. They are not only taught the arts of a ninja, but also skilled as mikos, so that they can travel freely in all the lands. In the wars, they are sent out to gather intelligence information from enemy forces, or given assassination tasks, and in our case both.
Prologue
Lady Chyome paced gracefully down the darkened hall, her footsteps tapping gently on the wooden floor, "Kikyo, I have your next assignment."
"Yes, m' lady." A monotone voice projected from within the chamber.
"You may set out at dawn tomorrow morning," Lady Chyome continued, "and your target is Lord Sesshomaru of the Western Lands. Get close to him, monitor his every move, and report them regularly. Then eventually, finish him off. He is a very powerful demon and threatening enemy, so there must be no flaws…"
"I understand, m' lady," Kikyo's voice suggested no tinge of fear, just some odd sense of anticipation for the challenge.
With that said, Lady Chyome turned from the closed doors of the chamber and once again disappeared down the hallway, the echoes of her footsteps fading to none.
Thank you for taking your time to read this and please submit a review! No flames please, but comments and constructive critism are very welcome!
