Based on Darren Criss/Chris Colfer's tweet. If you are unfamiliar with this tweet, here it is:
DC:"Was out for sushi when all of a sudden I heard myself and Chris Colfer singing 'baby it's cold outside,' which isn't even the best part..."
CC: "Did you have a Klaine roll?"
So, of course, knowing me, I had to write a story about it!
"Yum! I love sushi!" exclaimed Kurt, looking very hungry. "Thanks for taking us here!"
Blaine replied with a twinkle in his eye, "Well, that's what boyfriends do!" He said triumphantly.
For their one year anniversary, Blaine and Kurt had decided to take a short trip to California to celebrate. Right at that current moment
Blaine ordered a plate of California rolls, and Kurt just pointed to something random on the menu, always looking to try something new.
The boys talked for a few minutes, about the things they normally spoke about. Broadway, Vogue, etc. Suddenly, Kurt looked like he was listening to something that was very quiet and far away, but still able to be heard.
"What do you hear?" Blaine asked, curious. Kurt gave him a look that said hold on a second, I need to hear this and figure out what this is and your talking is distracting me.
Kurt and Blaine could hold conversations with looks alone. Wes and David sometimes found this a little creepy; "They are telepathically communicating, like robots or something?" They had said
Blaine facial expressioned: Sorry, tell me when you are done.
After listening for a few moments more, Kurt said, very slowly, "Listen to the music. Don't those voices sound familiar to you?"
"Say, what's in this drink?" Kurt's voice drifted out of the loudspeakers. Blaine and Kurt exchanged surprised glances.
"Why are we singing Baby, it's Cold Outside in a sushi restaurant?" Blaine said in a tightly restricted voice. For once, he sounded thoroughly confused. This worried Kurt even more; Blaine always knew what was happening and what to do.
Of course, the waiter chose that moment to come by. "California rolls," he called. Blaine raised his hand slightly.
"Klaine rolls go to you then," he nodded at Kurt. Said boy raised an eyebrow, but accepted the dish.
Blaine froze.
"W-wait a second, " He stuttered. "Klaine rolls?"
"Yeah." Said Kurt. "Hold on... Like that couple name Wes and David gave to us? Klaine?"
Blaine nodded, slowly pushing his California rolls away as if they were poisoned. Both boys stood up, looking scared. Kurt left thirty dollars on the table, and grabbed a Klaine roll. They quickly ran out of the restaurant.
Twenty minutes later...
Kurt took a bit of his Klaine roll. "You know," he said in wonder. "These are actually pretty good." Blaine just shrugged it off. Maybe LA was crazy all the time...
