Hi, Banana2266 here!
So, I haven't published or updated anything in quite some time by now, but this randomly popped in my head, and I liked it, so I was like, "Eh, what the heck. It's a story, share it with the world, why not?"
so ya.
Ahem...please, continue!
"...Fi?"
Link had looked around the corner to find Fi curled up in a ball against the wall, her head buried in her arms. She was sniffling rather loudly.
Link crouched down beside her. "Fi, what's wrong?"
Fi looked up at him, tears glistening in her eyes.
"...What is this…?" She asked slowly and softly. She sniffed. "This… Emotion. I've never felt it before…" her voice cracked and a tear fell down her cheek. "Master Link, what is this?"
Link's eyes softened. He scooted closer to Fi. Then to her surprise, or at least she thought it was surprise, he wrapped his arms around her. What was Master Link doing?
Link gently placed his hand on the back of Fi's head and pulled it towards his shoulder.
Now lying in Link's embrace, Fi realized that he felt...what was it humans called it? Warm? But it wasn't just physical. Fi could feel the beautiful heat in his aura as well. It enveloped her, and Fi found herself welcoming the heat. It made her feel...comfortable. good. The unwelcome emotion started to leave her. She adjusted her head so that her nose was buried in the crook of Master Link's neck so that she might receive more warmth. She breathed in through her nostrils, finding that something pleasant entered them. A scent perhaps? A good scent…?
Link heard Fi sigh in pleasure. He allowed himself a small smile. Ever since she was turned into a human, Fi had had trouble with her new emotions the last few days. She didn't know how to handle them because she had never felt them before. Link had decided to bring in upon himself to help her.
They sat there crouched on the ground for several minutes before Link decided to speak.
"Feel better now?"
Fi slowly lifted her head to meet Master Link's eyes. "I… Think so…" She paused. "What exactly is 'better'?"
"Uh…" Link glanced around. Fi blinked in what she believed to be confusion. Could he not simply tell her?
"Well…'better' is when you no longer feel sad."
Fi cocked her head. "Sad…?"
"It's an emotion that humans have. One that humans typically don't want to feel, but sometimes they can't help it."
Fi processed this. "Have I ever seen you in the emotional state of 'Sad', Master Link?" she asked after a few seconds of thought.
Link blinked. He rolled the question around in his head for a moment.
"I felt sad when Zelda fell asleep inside that crystal," he finally answered. "Do you remember?"
Fi thought. "I remember. You felt 'Sad' at that moment?"
Link nodded. "I felt very sad at that moment."
"Is 'Sad' the opposite of happiness?"
Again Link nodded. "Pretty much."
"I think I like feeling happiness more than feeling 'Sad'." Fi stated.
Link smiled. "So do I."
"What about Her Grace?"
"I'm sure she likes feeling happy more than sad, too."
Very short, I know. Got writers block by the end, so i decided to just kinda cut it off. I hope you enjoyed anyways.
R&R plz!
