Chapter 1: Waking up

Atem woke up groggily. The spiky-haired tween tried to remember how he and his two other siblings got into the alley way he was currently in. His sister, Scourge, woke up. She had one icy blue eye, one deep purple eye, blacker- than – night hair, and whiter- than – snow skin. Her sharp fingernails added to her already odd appearance. She and her brothers were also very scrawny. " Atem, I think we should wake Ash up and get out of here." Scourge said as she stated heading over to Ash. Ash was pretty much the same as the Pokemon trainer, except he had the same clothes as Atem, black tank – top, leather boots, leather pants and some jewelry. Scourge wore the same. " Let him sleep Scourge, it's not like the orphanage is gonna miss us. We can stay here until dinner. Then, we have to leave." " I guess you're right Atem."

" I win again Anzu!" Joey exclaimed. " Joey the awesome wins again!" " Actually Joey, you just activated my trap card Inst a-death, which means if you have a dragon-type, like your red-eyes, on the field, your life points drop down to zero, and I instantly win!" Anzu smiled at Joey, and Joey scowled. Tristan laughed, " Joey the awesome just got owned by a girl!" The dinner bell rang, and the three rushed into the dining hall.

The triplets arrived just in time for dinner. " Hey, look! It's porcupine head and his brother and sister! Hey guys, you're late for your 6' o clock beating! I guess you get double time after dinner!" Joey yelled, and everyone laughed. I wish they would just leave us alone. Scourge thought. After dinner, they were confronted by Joey and his gang. They took turns beating the crap out of the triplets until lights out. I'll show them someday, I swear, by the name of Ra, I will have revenge. Scourge thought as she drifted off to a dreamless sleep.

The triplets woke up, got dressed, and started on the chores. Instead of getting to play like the rest of the kids, the guy in charge decided that sense the triplets were were-cats, they needed to be put in their place and stay there. "Scourge, do you think we'll get adopted?" Atem asked. " Yeah, if they want a bunch of mentally deranged freaks." Scourge laughed bitterly. " Scourge, we are not mentally deranged freaks, and I'm sure we'll get adopted. Don't forget tomorrow's our first day of school at Penn Forest." Ash said. " Yeah, just another place to get tormented. Don't forget we can't read English, only Hieroglyphics." Scourge said with pure hate in her voice. " Man, Scourge, you really are a half- empty kind of person." Ash laughed. " Hey! You three! Anzu wants ya, now!" The three shuffled over to where Joey, Anzu, and Tristan were standing. " What do you want now, you stuck up, snotty, ( bunch of ancient Egyptian curse words )." " Don't call me that cat girl, or Joey will beat you up!" " Yeah, like I'm afraid of him, he's just a human." " Well this human has silver!" Joey exclaimed. " I may be allergic to silver, but I'll fight you." Atem and Ash looked at each other with confusion.

Chapter 3 : New school, New enemies, and New attitudes?

"Scourge has never acted like this before." Atem whispered to Ash. " I know, It's kinda weird." Scourge stood her ground as Joey lashed out at her with a silver whip. She took it blow – by – blow, that is, until the whip lashed out onto her neck. Then, bleeding, she collapsed out of exhaustion from trying to dodge, and blood loss. "Scourge!" Atem and Ash rushed to he side, and took their shirts off to rip and make bandages. They wrapped her up, and carefully took her up to their room, where they didn't come out for the rest of the day.
